OK, I'm a homebrew developer, but have run out of ideas. And since the people here seem to be more intelligent than the forums I normally go to, I'll ask you guys. I need some ideas for some homebrew games. Nothing too special, and nothing 3D. I don't have a PSP, so it has to be coded in Lua. (Anyone got a PSP for trade? CML) Anyway, I rely on the windows version of LuaPlayer, so 3D, wifi and super complex games just aren't possible. Anyway, I'd like some ideas from you guys. Fire away.

Well, I've always wanted a real superhero RPG. X-MEN legends came close but it wasn't RPG enough for me. I would love to see a strategy/RPG in the style of Shining Force but with superheros and supervillians (i.e. capes, secret identities, super powers, cheesy villian laughter and dialogue,etc.). You could use 2D sprites like Shining Force (Genesis). Obviously, due to copyright reasons, you can't use any established heroes and villians. Instead, you could include generic hero and villian types and also a simple create-a-hero/villian feature in the style of City of Heroes/Villians, except more simplified and with 2D sprites.

How about a simple platformer like Megaman, except better? How about like Knytt Stories? I love that game --> http://nifflas.ni2.se/index.php?main=02Knytt_Stories

I've considered both an RPG and a platformer. I'm thinking about a Pokemon clone, but a GOOD one. I've also considered a platformer from the DOS era, it's called Secret Agent. Anyway, I'll wait and see.
