G-Phoria question...

I am wondering whether or not this is worth watching. I am (well, was) a huge TechTV fan, and I have seen this advertised quite often. Did anybody watch it last year? Was it any good. and should I consider Tivoing it this year? I guess I want to know one thing: is it about the games, or is it basically a rehashing of SPikeTV's "awards' show, with sideshow freak presenters and crappy music?

I watched some of last years gphoria and I thought it was horrible. G4TechTV is only good for Xplay(morgran web or no) pulse, screensavers, and Icons

yeah g phoria is pretty lame, i was excited for it last year but it was a big let down.

Agreed. Spike awards were a fucking waste of time. The entire show made me think of the Driv3r review/payoff controversy- you just know that the games that won awards did so because the big publishers greased many palms with cash or benefits. I pray G-Phoria is not like that...

I'd like to hope so too, but I'm not holding out any hope. I'm just sick of hearing about it. They've been advertising the thing since June (I think). Of course, after it's on, it'll probably be on 7 million more times over the next month.

I also like that Judgement Day show - you get to see some games and that guy that hates everything is hilarious. But it seems like Players is always on - who the fuck cares what celebrities think about games?

I agree that X-Play is much better then Judgement Day. One of those hosts (I think its Tommy) is quite possibly the worst reviewer Ive ever seen. Atleast they should fire him.
I think that G4techTV would be much better if they got rid of Judgement Day, G4TV.com, and AU.

Ugh, I hate that Tommy guy. WORST REVIEWER EVER. He said that Nintendo references (like the toy Gamecube in one of the offices) were one of the worst points of Twin Snakes. It's fine if you don't like a game, but that's just a stupid reason.

I watched last year's G-Phoria today (there was a rerun to get people hyped about this year). It was complete crap. I was thinking about watching it, but now I've completely changed my mind. IGN already posted the winner for Game of the Year anyways.
