What the hell? My Playstation 3 is now black bars?!

Alright for a good long while, the PS3 when playing PS2 games upscaled would stretch so the entire screen was covered. Now after the firmware update to 2.1 and being turned off, the system now has black bars on the left and right. It was like this at first, but then it went completely stretched and now it's back to how it was. What caused this change? Oh yeah. The options are set to full screen for upconverting and for 1080i. I"m using a Olevia LCD tv for this.

Anyone else experience this problem?

They made it like that for 2.0, but it caused problems similar to how PS2 games looked back when the PS3 launched so I guess they put it back the way it originally was pre-2.0 with the 2.1 update.

that blows. I actually liked it being full screen. Those black bars annoy the hell out of me.

And this has only happened since I upgraded to 2.1
