Looks like sale is on A2 & A3, the cheaper one being the A2


Summarize: A3 is $298 w/ 300 & Bourne Identity in box, then the 5 Free Movie rebate, and another 5 Free movies in store. A2 is same, except for $198, and no free movies in box.

Free instore movies have to be cheaper than $30

Hmmm.... The price on the players is what it is right now in-store... I guess the 5 extra DVDs in store is what the promotion is.... This isn't as good as the $98 A2 which is what they should do again and make the A3 199... They gave away 10 extra Blu-Ray with a same-priced PS3...

I'm still waiting on a deal that is so compelling that i have no joice but to jump in... A $98 player again and I'd be back in store again since I missed the last one.

Most of them are stocking them now even if its a small easily missable end cap. Ask about it and they should point you to it.

I've got an A1 right now, and I already own Bourne Identity/Supremacy and 300 (combo... non-combo is mighty tempting), so I'm definitely considering getting in on the A2 for $198 + 10 movies. Missed out on the 5 free MIR with my player, so it's time!

It looks like it's going to be more than just the A2 on sale for $198. I'm looking through Walmart.com and here's what I've come up with.

so...let me get this straight: If you pay $300, you get 12 movies altogether or just 7? And for the $200, do you just get 10 or 5 (since 5 is MIR). Because I would love to pick 5 titles instead of 15 preselected titles.

See, I bought HD-A3 for $170 in Sears with 5 MIR and 2 in a box so in Wal-mart, they has it for $200 (which is like $30 more) and you also get 5 titles of your choice. I'm willing to spend $30 more for 5 titles.

$199 is for the A2 (no free movies in the box), not the A3. The A3 is $299.99 with 5 free movies.

Amazon has a 10 free HD-DVD sale going on now with the A3, A30, A35. 2 in-box; 3 free at check-out; 5 free by mail-in coupon. They have the A3 for $199. The Walmart deal won't be nearly as good unless they lower the price of the players to.
