i've used the non-brand dvd+R's and they work find for me.... i haven't had any problems burning ..

So have I, but it's always a crapshoot it seems. I've had some non-brand stuff turn out to be junk, especially over a year or so. The only semi-non brand stuff I've used for DVD+R are Kyphermedia and RiData (which I think is Ritek)
