Kingdom Hearts 2 - Where will they go now?

Kingdom Hearts was a cool game, but the big question is - where will they go now? They've used up all their best worlds in the original game, so what is left? Pocohontas? Home on the Range? Lion King? (actually Lion King could be cool). Maybe they might start to go to places in live action Disney films (Superdad? Parent Trap?), or even films that were released under Touchstone and other names (Kids?).

Would that take away from the coolness of the Kingdom Heart setting? The concept of the FF people interacting in a Disney world was what sold me. Plus, Leon is voiced by Angel. How do you get better than that?

In terms of untapped Disney films, there's still Mulan, Lilo and Stitch, Toy Story, Monsters Inc, and a few others. So there's still more area they could set up, if they wanted.

I heard you get to return to the old worlds and go to new worlds... Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Cinderella were not used... Lion King, Mr. Toad... there are so many classics... Toon Town or some world with Mickey and co.

Just as long as they don't go to Brother Bear's world...

I believe I read somewhere that Lion King and a new Hercules world were both confirmed. Rumors say that Sword in the Stone, Robin Hood, Beauty and the Beast, Jungle Book, and Black Cauldron will all be in the next game.

They could go to Emperor's New Groove worlld (it coulgd be like a mayan/aztec type of an area with a pyramid. they could make that part of the game like the opening to Raider's of the Lost Ark.) A cool world, if they implement it right, would be great mouse detective world. that is one of my favorite disney movies ever. It could be like you end up in that world and must investigate a crime, etc. Though the movie sucked, there is hunchback of Notre dame world. There are many places that they can still go to.

For new summons they could put the fox and hound, brother bear, etc. Lady and the Tramp could be summons as well. There are many animals in the Disney library that they could use for summons.

The older players (like me) would be glad to see some classics like those mentioned already (Sword in the Stone, Robin Hood...Totoro wasn't made by Disney at ALL..they just bought the distribution rights from Studio Ghibli,) but those probably wouldn't appeal to the demographic ($$) the Disney execs would want to target. I'd expect at best one or two "classic" settings and the rest to be taken from more recent titles, to appeal to the broadest spectrum of players/customers possible.

I hope you're wrong. Robin Hood is my favorite Disney movie, and I'd kill to be able to play in it. But what recent titles are we going to see? Home On the Range? Pocahontas? How well would those work? The old ones were more like adventures, and would therefore translate better into a game.

Holy crap. Talespin and Darkwing Duck would be awesome. And Rescue Rangers! That was my favorite show when I was a kid.

Ahhh, nostalgia. IMO, that's what made the original KH so great. I loved re-experiencing all of these old stores I knew as a kid. Brings back so many good memories.

When I said blitzball, it would be in action-rpg format still, not the numbers game like in FFX. But if that still sucks in your opinion, it's still cool, at least you agree with the Gargoyles idea. Rescue Rangers would be a riot. Monterey Jack and Dale were hella funny... I don't see how Goof Troop would work though. :?

Jungle Book anyone? How about Tresure Planet? Personally if its only movies Monsters inc. would be a great concept for a game world with all the doors they could send you through to random places a perfect cameo local for square-enix worlds if you ask me.

Regardless of what worlds they go to, they'll be hard to see if they don't fix the damn camera. They should use the engine from Ratchet and Clank - one of the best 3D camera engines EVER.

i completely forgotton about that movie. with disney i think right away the classic ones (sleepin beauty, snow white, etc) not too much of the new generations but Mm that be great taking some of the good ol disney shows such darkwing duck just not new ones like the proud family or whatever there is.. *shivers*

There are tons of disney movies left. Hunchback of Notre Dame also, Lady in the Tramp, etc etc. They could make KH 10 and still have material left.

I cant wait to see some of those worlds. I'm really looking forward to Nottinghamshire and Camelot.
