Mine is even worse everytime I write them a email they say 2 or 3 business days till they put my item(GH3) on order and they never do after 4 days still nothing. It's been now more then a month and week and a half and I still dont got my GH3.

As to why I ordered the Halo Controller... I am part of a group that hosts LAN parties in Albany, NY (See sig). Our next LAN is this Saturday. One of the Tournaments we are hosting is a Halo 3 tournament. So we decided to give out Halo 3 controllers for the LAN. I didnt want to have to spend $60 for one, so I got it from here.

Hopefully it comes before Saturday. Otherwise I will just have to buy one from someplace, use that as the prize & return the one from here & get my money back :)

I have 1 day to cancel my DealMax. Canceling DealMax isn't the problem, canceling SavingSmart is the problem. I know there are other people on here that said they can't retrieve their SavingSmart ID's either on the SS site. What the heck are we supposed to do? Even if we cancel DealMax, we won't be able to cancel SS without our membership info. Anyone know what I should do?

I'm in the same situation, but here's what I've learned.

1. If you go to SavingSmart.com, you can retrieve your user ID. Mine didn't work at first, but I chose the option to send my info to a representative, and he got back to me within a day. I then called to cancel with my number, but it told me I had to e-mail them to sort things out, which I did an hour ago. Haven't heard back yet.

2. Earlier in this thread (around page 7 or 8) someone mentions that if you already cancelled YourSavingsClub once, you're good to go. I suspect that's the case with you, since the problem for me was that my phone number was already attached to a cancelled account.

I haven't seen a lot of info on the Disney offer, but it can still be easily cancelled if you missed the 24 hr email window. I haven't done other Scholastics, so maybe they are all the same, but I know I have seen people ask about Disney.

Call the number (800-353-3140) and tell them you have done the Disney offer and give them the account number from your email and tell them you'd like to cancel. If you have received the box DON'T open it! I was told by the CSR just mark the box "Return to Sender" and send it back - she even said they'll refund your money. I'll verify this when it happens.

It's really difficult to understand why Trainn wouldn't be glad to give us $100 giftcards instead of shipping us the bundle. They should be doing it for anyone who asks, any number of times. If they pay around $117 with shipping, they can save $17 by doing this. That really adds up for the company.

Probably mistaken you're II for GHIII since it's only one digit off. Could be possible. Maybe that's why It's taking so long. There is proof that some guy who missed his offer cancellation by 3 hours and mysteriosuly got an extra GHIII bundle. Well if you do it would be even sweeter.

I haven't done DermaWand, but it is a 30 day trial. However, you are charged $14.95 for the shipping and handling, and that is not refundable. Kinda steep, if you ask me (and that's the only reason why I never did it).

I do not use support tickets. Don't see the point, as I don't think they reach the same people.

Their email address is in the OP. I always use that. They will take 2-3 days to reply back, but they are extremely friendly and helpful.

I will definitely consider it, although they will rarely differ. I really don't have many bad experiences with these companies. To me, it's simply a sign-up and call to cancel.

Yesterday I had a pretty good day for offers crediting. I did 3 offers, and ordered 2 GHIII bundles to see if I can get the gift cards instead. If they say no, I guess I'll just wait for the bundles to come and eBay them or see if they'll order me Rock Band from Amazon instead :)

I'll do more details for these offers later if I get the packages, but they say it can take 2-3 weeks, so it would be after Christmas. I cleared my cookies and cache before doing each offer.

Bargain.com - Wouldn't work for me, tried 5 different CC numbers. I got two authorizations for $1.00 each on one CC, and if they turn into actual charges I'll be mad. It is working for me in Firefox.

Either its user specific, and it has been working for nobody but me, or it was just a temporary problem.

Just tried it again in Firefox and Safari (i'm on a Mac here at work) and it didn't work, still with the same error. I tried it at home last night on a PC in Firefox and got the same error.

EDIT: Aha! I figured it out. The link that I was trying to use was https:, which isn't working. When I tried just plain http:, it works. It was weird because I clicked directly from the Scholastic email and the link in this thread, and both times got the error.

Others were having the same problem, even when trying different cards. I think it's something on their (the trial company's) end. You just might not be able to get to do that offer.

No. Bargain and DealMax are separate. Cancelling on Bargain's site cancels Bargain and whatever the name of the second offer they sign you up for is (WiseHouseBuyer?).

Going to the DealMax website cancels your DealMax membership (but I don't think it cancels the piggyback offer for that one). And then, you would have to cancel the piggyback offer (YourSavingsClub) by calling them, unless you were already in it previously, which means you weren't signed up again.

Hope that makes sense.

Which two Scholastic offers? I cancelled the Dr. Seuss Book Club through the link in the email I got (which ends up in your spam folder), or through the link on the first page of this thread. I also recently did the Disney Book Club and Carebears Book Club offers. I haven't gotten the email for Disney yet, but supposedly you can cancel that with the same link. Carebears I think you have to just wait until you get the package, then call them up and say you want to cancel and send the package back.

You don't have to keep the Carebear books, you can send them back and get a refund, I just don't think you can cancel the offer before you get the books. You could always try, but you'd have to call the Scholastic number because I don't think Carebear shows up on the cancel order link, and I think it might be awkward explaining why you're canceling when you haven't even received the books (it takes 2-3 weeks). It might jeopardize your credit if you cancel too early, and I'm not willing to risk it, at least until I get my gift cards/games.

Okay. I will try and explain this one more time.

This is how I THINK it goes down:

You sign up for DealMax. This also signs you up for YourSavingsClub.
The DealMax site does NOT cancel you out of YourSavingsClub!

You sign up for Bargain. This also signs you up for Wise House Buyer.
The Bargain site cancels BOTH of these offers.

So there. Does that help everyone now? I really don't know how I can explain it any better.

EDIT: And if you have been signed up for YourSavingsClub in the past (through other offers), then you will not need to cancel it. It doesn't seem to sign you back up again after the original time.

Ohhhh....maybe THAT'S the problem. I have a Chase debit card, and I get an error when I try to sign up for Yahoo, eAuction, etc. But, the Chase debit card is treated like a credit card everywhere else. I mean, I select "Credit" whenever there's an option.

Just to update my situation with Great Fun

I posted a bit back that I never recieved credit for this one. And that I had either lost or never received the email when I signed up. I did receive the membership card in the mail though.

So I took your guy's advice and did the following:

Filled a MCR (Dec.6th), but had no email. However I explained the situation & posted the day I signed up, the email I used, my name, and the membership card. I then emailed Great Fun requesting my info. I then copied that email and created a support ticket asking that they add that to the MCR.

Hadn't heard anything then went onto the site today for the hell of it. And low & behold I got credit for Great Fun. Never got an email saying it credited.
Also my account, which had been in review was out of review so I placed my 3rd order. I ordered a 2nd copy of GH3. Kind of hope they will give me the option for a Gift Card.

And after I reset my account, I am 1 Referral away from my 4th order :)

The cardboard has Amazon and its logos printed on it and I also got the usual Amazon order form. Didn't see any white power, so I guess I am fine...for now.
I live in Illinois and the order shipped from Indiana. I usually get Amazon items shipped from Kentucky regardless if it is from tranin or not. I guess they opened up shipping center in Indiana

Probably because it'll weigh less with the envelope so they can send it 2nd day air for the same price as putting it in a box?? i just called great fun to cancel and they were extremely rude. it sounds like they outsource their customer service cause the lady i was talking to was filipino (im filipino too but not from the philippines). after i told her i wanted to cancel she read the whole thing about extending my trial for free and stuff and how theyd send me a $20 exxon gas card. after she read it i told her i still wanted to cancel then she started getting mad at me and yelling. i kept insisting i still wanted to cancel then she finally gave me a confirmation number. after that she said id still be getting a gas card and to stay on the line for more info. im assuming that since i got a cancellation number, my accounts canceled so i just hung up cause i didnt want to wait any longer.

You can go back to the link you canceled by and it will say you already canceled and can get sent a confirmation e-mail if you wnat b/c I forgot I had canceled and tried to do it and it brought me to that page for a confirmation.

Just got my copy of Mass Effect today, ordered it on November 29th, it shipped on Monday the 10th. Seems a little slow lately with the holiday. Well, I am a regular member at another forum on the interwebz and I just offered a bunch of people a good deal. I would pay for the offers if they would do two offers on this site and another on a free 360 Elite site. THat way, it's no cost to them and I get one referral for this site and another for a free Elite (which I've already received) Sure, it cost me about $29 a pop, but this way, an e-friend gets a free game, and I get two refs. If you look around on other freebie forums, you'll find that you'd be lucky to get one referral for $25 and I'm getting two for about the same.


That's how I got 10 referrals in about 3 days. Got myself I think 3 GH2 packages, a 360 Elite, and $250 paypal from one of the ipod sites.


There's a good deal to be made here. YOu just gotta work it to your advantage.

hum, I mean't like a list of the offers and rate them sorta like OP posts but with all of them. Problems people had with them and things they should expect, if any. Like Great Fun CC info sucks, where you put he expired year, it doesn't go past 2009 I think.

It says right on the screen after you click it, "within 5 days". Great Fun is not an instant offer, and in my experience I've never seen it go through without an MCR.

All the Trilegent (the company) ones suck, but Ive never not gotten an MCR, and have eventually gotten credit for them. It just takes longer than what Trainn estimates most of the time.

Yep they are all the same, but you can only do one per card. I had problems with eAuction, but that was my own fault for not clearing my cookies and the MCR went through, the other ones of those I did (Yahoo/Increase My Margin) were instants, had to use different cards for each one.

The best advice I can give (not just for this instance) is clear your cookies before EVERY offer you attempt. I surf with Firefox, so I can use that how I please, but I do my offers with IE as its basically useless otherwise. I log in, do the offer, clear cookies, start over.
