I've been looking for a Wavebird so I can play GC games on my Wii easily. However, they are very difficult to find at reasonable prices.

Has anyone used either the Pelican or Gamestop wireless GC controllers? Are they any good?

Thanks!

Eh. Wavebird is the best. Try ebay.

Try finding a used one at GS... they sell for 17.99 used before edge card, some might still have em new at 34.99 (or less if tagged a certain way)

You also might get lucky and find one at sears. the 2 platinum one I have were 10 apiece (the cheapest Ive ever seen them)

I second this. You may not find them the first, or even the first few times you look for them. But persistence pays off.

I've gotten 3 Wavebirds used through GS, and the last two I got during a B2G1. They've all been great.

Pelican controllers are (in general) decent. I have not had one of their GC controllers, but I did have some of their PS2 controllers. They will do if you have no other option, but they're not the best.

Ordered one of the Thrustmasters, as mentioned in PrarieDog's link. For $15 and change, shipped by 2 day mail, I can't pass it up.
