Yeah, you and me both. It's hard enough for me to make a case against buying a class B or C movie for only ten bucks even though I could wait for it to aired on HBO or Showtime. It's the lure of full resolution without processing and lossless audio that always wins me over.

My only gripe is why aren't there as many HD-DVD BOGOS lately. It's like a 2 to 1 ratio with what I own now and that's based just on the Amazon BOGOS. And I'm not partial to either format. It's probably because of those damn combo discs.

This looks like a combo of the past two Amazon sales. Whats weird is that 1-off 1 day thing they did that had all the superman films available. I put two in my cart to "think about", came back the next day and they were back to full price, with other films in their place.

I wonder if Amazon jumped the gun on those titles or if they were indeed a 1 day mistake.

Personally, there's nothing here that we haven't seen in the past month in an Amazon BOGO, but its great if you missed out on the earlier sales.

If I may recommend some of the less obvious choices: All the war movies on there are fantastic...Dirty Dozen, Battle of the Bulge, all great. Letters from Iwo Jima is also great. I think this round I'm going for 7 years in Tibet (good movie), and maybe....hmmm.something else to round it out.

Now we need an HDDVD BOGO!

I've got it, and it does indeed look great. Its not perfect wow material but there are certainly some amazing looking scenes. Its a good movie too.

I'm honestly having a hard time finding two movies that I'd be interested in buying since I've hit these BOGO sales so hard before. I might actually skip this one.

Never go by the list price. The Departed on its own doesn't qualify for free shipping. The Departed and any other title on that list will push you over the $25 mark, before your free title is subtracted so yes, you will get free shipping.

I think its because Life of Brian was delayed from its November release is why it showed up for a while and then was quickly taken away. They may have still had the old release date somewhere.

Alexander is a great movie...for those who are looking for a movie...i found this blu-ray cut to be better than the previous dvd version i saw, but it is 3 1/2 hours! that's just too long. i can see how oliver stone would have trouble trimming it down though, because i can't really suggest what part to cut out.

i'll probably place 2 orders from this sale, but we really need some hd-dvd BOGOs to come along because i'm running out of blu-ray movies that i want.
