I'm planning on buying a Wii but need some help on whether or not it's a sound purchase from my perspective.

Is the classic controller a worthwhile purchase? I really like it less and less everytime I read about it so I need to know if it's something I'll need. I don't plan on using the VC for anything but N64 games and the CC lacks the C-Button setup and instead opts for a dual joystick setup. I know it'll be needed for some Wii games but I'm not sure how many. I also don't like how it connects to the remote.

Thanks to anyone that can provide quick help.

Any recharge works. The nyko station works the best if you must.

Wireless works best. Otherwise, buy the LAN adapter, that helps.

Yes, its worth it, for the VC games, and some games, like fire emblem, can use it as well.

GOod luck. Get TC NB, Fire Emblem, RE Chronicles, all fun as hell games.

Good luck getting one!

If you're considering the classic controller, you should also take a look at the Thrustmaster:

I didn't know the classic controller was used for any original Wii titles.

It's a great controller for the older games... especially since Wavebirds are so hard to find these days. I still have two wavebirds and that's what I use for all N64 titles.

So Gamecube controllers can be used in place of the classic controller? Awesome thanks.

I would absolutely recommend the GameCube's Wavebird over the classic controller if you have one lying around. If you don't have one already though... it might be fairly difficult to obtain.

Yes, but the button layout is different, so certain games might be more difficult with a GC controller.
