sounds interesting, but I still won't like GS just for being GS. If there are fighting game tourneys, sign me up.

I hope they have fighters, and that they build one out here.
Yet the synical side of me says that this is just another way for gamestop to take in money, and for them to promote shitty games.

GS in my area has had tournaments before, never was interested in any of them though. Mainly because I suck at the games they are playing lol

Too bad its just going to be the same old shitty Madden and Halo tournaments. Call me when we can get a place that will do SSX Tricky and Soul Calibur II tourneys.

back when i lived in sticksville last year, they had a guitar hero 2 in store tournament. i forgot and slept in but showed up a few hours later and they told me that: 1 no one showed up 2 they didnt have a new/used copy of the game to play 3 they only had 1 used guitar controller anyways 4 the grand prize was a black tshirt that said gamestop

You might as well disconnect your phone and save money.
They are only gonna do tournys for game that have huge advertising budgets. Madden, other EA sports games, Halo, generic new fps of the month, etc.
Maaaaaybe we'll get lucky and get a FV5 tourny, but I think its a longshot. Forget about anything else good.

Even though I don't like GS, if they did that here for a game I was interested in I'd sign up. It's a pretty cool idea and hey if you win you get free stuff so can't beat that.

If they have a Tetris or Mario Kart DS tournament, I'd be all over that. Plus then I could actually disfigure some snakers in person.
