Controller and compatibility question

Hi all, quick question.

I have a gamecube copy of Capcom vs SNK 2, and I'm considering buying a hori stick for the wii to play it with.

I really love this game, and I've been trying to figure out the best solution to be able to play it on a next gen console.

No, it won't work at all.

If the controller doesn't plug into the GCN ports on the Wii, then it won't work for GCN games.
