Even with how kiddy the series has gotten, I always have had a blast with the games, even though I dispize the visuals. Wonder if it'll be good.

played a bit and actually I'm somewhat confused. It's like a mix of RPG and Mario party. that's the best way I can describe it.

From what I gathered the Starter Pack is free, and the red gold and blue are 10 each, or 20 for all 3.

Yeah I think I got to the end of the "demo".. I got to a tower that let me go to the red zone but I said I gotta buy it.. Not sure if thres other stuff do do besides that as I didnt check the map.. Interesting take on tha Ape Escape games, though/

Alright, so I finally got around to the demo.

I played the shit out of this game. RR's comparison was spot on, and it really feels like Mario Party (you move around on a board and hit up random minigames) but then sometimes you have random battles which play exactly like a Dragon Quest clone.

Ground to level 15, bought everything I could buy, bought better armor, got a better shield and mace and unlocked about 10 minigames. I really dig this BUT I'm a little leery about committing to it if there's going to be a disc version later down the road.

The series sells to a niche market here, so I'm thinking SCEA decided to keep it as a download (there are many Ape Escape games which didn't come stateside).

I downloaded and checked out the Starter pack last night. I was actually VERY surprised and really liked it. When I can finally get one of those Playstation Cards I'll definitely get the Blue and Red Chapters. Interesting concept. I'm hoping this is how SCEA will deal with some of these more niche games here in the US if they don't wanna put them in disc form. They'd probably do much better as downloads in the Store.

I really liked it but I'm too leery about getting it after reading some reviews. There are basically only two types of monsters on the map and then the bosses. If it drops to 10 I'll get it, but I'm not willing to pony up 20 for this.
