How is Sudeki?

I just got this game because I have been looking foward to it. Before I open it, I wanted to know what the people who have played it feel about it.

I rented it, and it is crap. Trust me- don't open it, return it, and buy it again when it's less than $20. The story and characters are awful and the combat sucks. It feels completely uninspired. The only redeeming fact is the half-naked chick, but she doesn't stay half-naked for the entire game. It's also very, very short. I got very close to the end when I rented it but forced myself to stop because it was such crap.

Ive played the demo and I was pretty disapointed with it. Unless major changes were made to the full versions I would stay away.

Well damn! That sucks. I was hoping to hear better news. I will probably try it out and put it up for trade if I don't like it.

It's OK. It's not the best game in the world. The combat needs serious work, and movement is kind of choppy. Voice acting is horrible.

If you want a good action RPG, go buy Dark Cloud or Dark Cloud 2.

Oh god, I forgot how bad the voice acting is. I don't think I've ever wanted to lose my voice as badly as whenever Elco talked.

Ahh c'mon. You all are being too hard on this game. I think it is actually very good. The combat is better than most action/RPGs. The voice acting is not Legacy of Kain, but it is not horrible. Some of it is even pretty good. The graphics are top notch. As far as length, I am trying to get all of the ultimate weapons and have put in about 22 hours. Only about 1/2 hour of that was aimless wandering.

I've been giving the game a fair shot since I got it, so far it is just full of so many flaws, first and formost the combat system is pure crap, waiting that 2 seconds for the light to come on before I can link the next chain in my combo has gotten me killed numerous times.

Voice acting is quite bad, though Elco's voice doesn't bother me much the NPC's have some horrible accents at times. Not to mention the dialogue in the game is laughable at best, NPC's have a very limited amount of things to say and team converstion rarely occurs.

Then of course you just have moments that reak of somebody being lazy, Elco FINALLY gets his spirit strike from the fallen god and he is screaming he doesn't believe in fate and becoming quite hysterical, except during the entire scene his body doesn't move out of his normal pose, no fist shaking, no backing up into a wall, not a thing.

Overall i'm going to continue to play the game but at this point i'm chalking it up as something that held a lot of potential that simply wasn't realized.

The only good thing is the graphics, but they could still be better. The battles are some of the worst I've seen in an RPG game to date. The story is bad, character intereaction is bad. IMO, just everything is bad about that game. I wasn't very interested in the game in the first place, but I wanted to try it out to see how it was like. The only reason to get Sudeki is if your an Xbox fan who doesn't have any other console with RPG games, and wants a game that's somewhat similar to a Japanese RPG, although still western. I seriously don't want to play Sudeki anymore. I personally think the reviewers were generous, because I would have given it a 5.0/10.

Not even. I'd say the only thing this game has going for it is Ailish's ass. The graphics are decent, but I wouldn't even give them anything over a 7. It seems that they had just a few colors for the environments- orange, orange/brown, blue/green, and black. Very stale, very boring. The game just kind of seemed to be very repetitive, except in different colors. There are a few models of different bad guys, and then there are a few different colors of them. It reminds me of the old Ninja Turtle games. Purple foot soldier, blue foot soldier, yellow foot soldier, etc.

Considering I got it for 9 something and still got fed up with it I would say it is, graphical flaws woudln't be that bad but in the case of the game the gameplay just isn't up to snuff at all.
