Don't know what the discount is yet but I assume the standard $20 they've been doing on most things this week.

I know this game gets knocks for being a little on the short side, but I think it's a damn fine one. I've already played through twice and I'm not going to sell it since I'll probably play through a least once more.

I got so bored with the demo, I didn't even finish THAT. I strongly advise anyone who considers purchasing it to download the demo first. Offtopic, it sucks that the stargate set is atlantis. I was hoping it would be the real series, but I figured as much. Ah well, at least I finally got Arrested Development.

I liked the demo myself, but I will say that it doesn't capture my favorite parts of the game where you control Kai instead of Nariko. A lot of sixaxis motion control that actually is well-implemented and makes sense. I still think you should at least give it a rental, I bet you'll like it.

what did you expect?

it was a tiny section of the game

it'd be like say if the first GoW demo was just a section where you ran into fighting some minatour's and cyclops or something

sure HS is shorter than even GoW, but it's still very solid (to me GoW has less fighting and more puzzles, er well a better balance, HS is more fighting than anything) still it's a really solid, entertaining game

and if you'd turn around to say you think GoW isn't that good, well then obviously this isn't a genre for you so don't crap on it because it's not your taste

If you haven't purchased this game by now, you might as well just pick the game up as a rental. Most of you will get your fill that way. No foolin'. Or you can wait until it is inevitably cheaper than this price.

I agree as I just rented the game and well if you want it that bad just get it during the b2g1 free at gs since they tend to have a lot of copies.

+1

I beat it as a rental and definitely want to own it, but at a better deal than this.

If somehow this magically gets down to $30 I will pick it up...but I think any more than that is too much...for me at least.

Even with the preview, I'm still gonna hope it is magically $30 :P

$29.99 and I'm in.

They're not going to sell too many at $44.99. Orange Box this is not.

I want Heavenly Sword, but as far as I'm concerned, $45 is full price for a game. You've got to get below $40 before it's a real discount.

sure HS is shorter than even GoW, but it's still very solid (to me GoW has less fighting and more puzzles, er well a better balance, HS is more fighting than anything) still it's a really solid, entertaining game

I liked God of War okay, but gave up after I got stuck on this stupid section where you had to make it through these "balance beams". (I think it was over 2/3 of the way through.) It had some other frustrating parts too. Hopefully Heavenly Sword isn't so frustrating.

This will be the worst selling lightning deal in history.

The people who didn't know what it was already bought/rented it went it came out. The people who know what it is are just going to rent it.

I got this game for $26.24 at CC last night. On another post, a CAG mentioned that CC had a stand display with 4 PS3 games for 50% off. Heavenly Sword was one of them (Uncharted, Stronghold, and Timeshift the other 3). The actual display says 50% these games with "PS2" on the notice but with PS3 games showing. So I got CC to give me those 4 games at 50% off and I used the $15 off $100 coupon and got all for $26.24 each (or $111.88 total with tax). You guys should check your local CC if you want to save a bit of money on these games.

I had this during TRU's first B1G1. But I didn't open it until the reviews hit and I decided I couldn't pay $40 for such a short game. Waiting for it to hit $15-20 in the spring.

Frys.com has them for 16.99 a season. I picked them up there earlier this week for 13.99 a season. Atlantis is the same price.

ill buy it for 34.99 on amazon.
but 44.99 is way to much.

Seriously, when will the prices of "next gen" games all be lowered to the standard 49.99 to start with. "high dev costs" is the biggest crock ever.

I'm in for $30 if it's that cheap. Otherwise, no thanks. I do want this game, but the fact that it's short makes it a $30 game to me. When it hits that price, I'll buy. If that happens today, I'll be very happy.

Pass for me too....if on the other hand they drop this down to $39.99 or something tomorrow and those who bought it now could PM for the difference and get it for $25....that would be sweet, but I still feel lucky to have gotten Time Crisis 4 that way...

I gotta agree-- high dev costs is absolutely true, but they forget to mention the video game market is bigger than ever, as long as your game is good and worthy of the sales, you would make a ton. I refuse to pay $60 for a game, but will pay $50 if it's a AAA title (and/or incredibly worthy).

For many games it feels like they're just trying to fleece you for the extra $10 before the really fast price drop happens.

Wanna bite but not at 45. Just got a Ps3, have uncharted and eye of judgment and really wanna play heavenly sword but 45 seems to pricey...35 would be a steal though!

I was lucky enough to buy this game off of ebay for $25 (shipped) on ebay a week back, and I played through it and loved it. I wasn't willing to pay more at first because of how short I heard it was, but after playing it the length isn't as bad as people make it seem. It has some replay value as well, so I can safely say I would have still been happy paying $45 if I hadn't bought it at this point...but I couldn't pass $25!
