Interestingly enough, both Gamestops and BlockBusters have been asking for all of my information lately. One of the GS managers said its was a state policy and a BB manager said something about complying with local regulations. Basically, the state considers them a pawn shop.

As for the flagging of my account. I have read my BB trade-in agreement. Where does it say I can be banned for following there guidelines. I am the sole owner of the property and have not aquired anything illegally. I haven't been banned or anything, just wandering if that is a BB manager overstepping his or her authority.

The code is universal, not one-use like some CC coupons. Just print it and go. That's how it works.

Usually can't combine, but some people will override it. Unfortunately, the override has been very rare recently, at least for me. Still, you can always stack the EDGE extra 10% on top of the 30%.

Depending on which coupon you used you either got $44.80 or $49 BECAUSE the first time the 30% coupon came along the trade value dropped to $32 from the previous $35. The last 30% the value went back to $35 and has remained through monday at least. ;)

I was thinking about trading mine in, but I definitely want to have it to keep, and it's not worth the hassle of trading it in now for $32.50 (no edge card) just to get it for a few dollars less later.

Right now, GS has a deal on trade-ups for the PSP. You get $70 for the origainl version, which is basically the same as their "$20 on a system trade-ins" deal. That's probably the best deal you'll ever get for trading in the older PSPs.

If you didn't renew your Edge card discount all that means is the sticker is no longer valid for 10% extra trade-ins or 10% discount on used games. The credit is still stored on the card though - think of it as a reloadable gift card. The credit storage is completely independent of the membership.

You should add YMMV since only some stores will accept the booze, most do accept Hookers though but trade in value varies.

Bought Naruto for $35.74 w/ 30% coupon earlier in the year. Got both Halos for free. Pretty happy. Update the Wiki with Naruto if you wish.

*Edit* I didn't know you had to be 18 to trade in games. Luckily my mom was in the parking lot. That's a little interesting (Like wtf, the state trusts me to drive a car under 18, but I can't sell my games to GS?)

I have a mental list of old games that Gamestop still gives high credit for: Halos, Mario Kart, SSB Melee, Animal Crossing DS, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (those aren't so old). I dunno about the pawn shops elsewhere, but new games rarely pop up around here.

Considering that Halo is $9.99 MSRP at places like Best Buy, giving $11.40 in credit for it is borderline ridiculous... although it's store credit and not cash, which makes a big difference, especially if you use that credit to buy another used title that they gave some poor sod next to nothing for.

If I come across anything else rare, I'll flip it myself. Outside of this short list of titles, GS is gonna rip you off on anything else.
