My wife is looking for an inexpensive way to connect a DVD player to the TV in her classroom. The TV is fairly old and only has the old coax cable input. What can she use to connect a DVD player to this antique?

RF Modulator. Can be had at Wal-Mart for Roughly $15.00.

EDIT: Or if there is a VCR already there you can run the DVD player through that and it works the same as an RF Modulator.

yeah i was going to suggest running it through a vcr. Plug the vdr into the TV with an RF switch, then plug in the dvd player to the vdr with the composite dvd cable.

PROBABLY the vcr will be mono sound and not surround, since it is going to be almost 25 years old, if it is anything like the LA county school district

But wouldn't you risk running afoul of Macrovision and screwing the video up by running it through a VCR?

Good tip on the VCR. She does have one of those in the room... I'll have her check to see if the DVD signal will pass through with any problems!
