Yeah, they both have the 110% guarantee. I don't know if it's just my region but I prefer Circuit City much more when it comes to this policy because they'll give me the extra 10% with no hassles, whereas Best Buy forces me to buy the item at regular price at the normal checkout then come to customer service to get the extra 10% adjustment (and that's to say nothing of the fact that they make me fill out a long PM form which often ends up being for naught once they call the competitor and claim the item's not in stock there).

That would be considered combining two offers, so the answer should be no. But you could get lucky and the employee serving you may be very generous or very stupid. It's always worth a try to a CAG -- the worst they could do to you is say no.

If you mean you have a $5 RZ certificate, that might be an issue, many times the CSR tries to count the RZ as if you got it for $5 cheaper (like a coupon) instead of a gift certificate-- so say you bought a $59.99 game with a $5 RZ cert, it shows you paid $54.99 and you would get the difference based on that.

I've seen people get shot down and I have been once or twice. Never bothered to argue it but I never use RZ certificates on stuff I think I may be pricematching.

If you mean a gift card, yeah, you should be fine. Have fun with the whole "going into Best Buy on December 23" thing. ;)

If you want to be "safe" just take the game to the customer service desk for the price match and buy it then. Show ad. Ask for a match. They may call the other store to verify. If all goes well you just get charged what Target had it for.

Keep in mind despite price matches being policy you may/will hear tons of reasons why they can't match it. But if the game's in stock there's no reason you shouldn't get it at the advertised price.

Just an FYI members of the IGN boards are saying they have tried to get The Simpsons Game and Assassin's Creed for 360 at the sale price and are getting turned down because it's only on sale for PS3, so good luck if you're able to get it to work.

The picture on those two games (as well as Madden and CoD 4 for 360) is very confusing. They have the two PS3 and 360 games shown with the sale price in the middle, but then both the PS3/360 system logos below the games giving the impression it's both versions of each game when it's not.

Edit: Since the first edition of the Sunday paper comes out on Saturday in St. Louis, one of the members of the boards there that works at a grocery store posts the ads with pictures on Saturday.

Ah, I didn't know Target's sale on SMG starts Wednesday....I went up there and was summarily shut down when I tried to get the game for $38. LOL.

In other news, I got Assassin's Creed 360 from BB ($38), and Blue Dragon from CC ($32), both via their website. CC is giving free shipping, while I had to pay $2.49 for BB's shipping. I could have chosen in-store pickup, but man, that place is crazy this time of year. Worth every penny of the $2.49.

Just went and picked up Assassin's Creed for $27.99 and Ghost Recon 2 for $29.99 (both for PS3) after the $10 off coupons. Also price-adjusted Call of Duty 4 (PS3) which I had bought for $34.99 (after the $10 off coupon) and got it for $27.99 :) I love this site.
