After trying to transfer Windows Media Player files to my PSP I found that my music has to be in MP3 format to transfer. I downloaded a program named Swtich that converts WMA files to MP3 and attempted once again to transfer music files to the PSP.
In addition to choosing a format, I also have to select a program to use to open the file. There are dozens of programs to use, on the only one that looks relevant is the Playstation Network Downloader. I've tried all the others and none of them work.
When I select 'music' on my PSP after transferring the file, I see the artist name and name the album, but when I select the file it reads '0 songs'. Where are my songs? I take it the songs do not display because the PSP does not read files from Windows Media Player and requires them to be in MP3 format. I thought I already transferred these files from WMA to MP3 using the Switch program. When I open the music file on my computer it reads 'MP3' under the format listing.
What am I not doing? Why is this so hard? I have a MP3 player that I use all the time. Why is the PSP not easy to use like my MP3 player? I would appreciate if someone would tell me what I am doing wrong. All I want to do is put music on my PSP!
