Title of the auction is: Drive Someone Insane with Postcards (http://cgi.ebay.com/Drive-Someone-Insane-with-Postcards_W0QQitemZ320196148761QQihZ011QQcategoryZ 45208QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
I heard them talking about this auction this morning on Glenn Beck (the guy running the auction is one of the writers for the show). If you win, when he goes to Poland later this month, he'll send anonymously to someone you specify a couple postcards with little hints (you give him) that the person sending the post card knows the recepient. A sort of vicarious stalking.
It is funny and clever except for the fact that it could be used to seriously intimidate or frighten someone. And the seller (bsack) could wind up harassing an innocent party without really knowing it.
Example: GuyX is stalking PersonB and knows a lot about them, maybe a cats name or something like that. Maybe GuyX has a Restraining Order on him, maybe not. But say GuyX wins, tells bsack to send a postcard that says," I miss you and your cat, Kibbles dearly."
Sounds innocent enough, but to a stalking victim, that could be terrifying.
