Thought these might make nice stocking stuffers. Target.com has Mario, DK, and Yoshi miniaturized remote controlled karts for $9.99 each.

Mario - $9.99

Yoshi - $9.99

Mario and DK 2-pack - $19.99

Donkey Kong on his own is sold out, so if you want the full set, you'll need to buy Yoshi and the Mario/DK 2-pack.

Please note these are the "small" versions of these RC toys. Target also sells the "large" versions, but they're $40 each and not much of a deal. You can probably get those cheaper elsewhere.

These rock! Shipping blows, though...gets it up to ~$17.00 for one.

I was looking forward to terrorizing my dogs with Yoshi!

I think those only go forward and turn in reverse, though. :-( (I checked into them before.) If they had true steering, I would have been all over them at that price.

According to the product page linked in the OP:

"• Maneuvers forward, backwards, left and right"

*shrug*

These were also in stock at my local EBGames for $14.95.

My 3 year old should love the Mario one.

I bought a Mario one a few years ago from GameStop for $1.00 on clearance. Now, they sell the same ones for $14.99. They were originally released as a promotion for Mario Kart 64 - that's how old they are. They indeed go forward, forward-right, reverse, and backwards to the left. I may have my rights an lefts mixed up, but they don't turn in every direction.

Also, mine broke, but that's because I drove mine off 3-foot drops onto concrete.

It was pretty fun though, and my girlfriend used it for a photography project with moving objects. Good artsy pics were the result.

Are these the same size as the ones at Gamestop?

Most of my local GS have these for $15 like the other poster already said. I started to buy one I don't know how many times. I'd play with it once then use it as nerd decoration. I should get a Mario and Yoshi one and put them on opposite sides surrounding my Master Chief helmet for mass nerd points! :D

$10? Sweeeet. Think Geek short shipped me the Universal Remotes I had gotten for all of my cousins... Maybe I'll buy a couple of these as presents and just hand them the remotes when they get in.
