Just got it from the GS B2G1 free sale 4 days ago, just now finished it. I must say it's pretty damn good. A mixture of 2 of my favorite series: Silent Hill and Max Payne. My one and only gripe was the ending (the good one) it made little to no sense and was pretty dissapointing. Anywho I was just wondering what was the genral opinion of Suffering here amoungst the Xbox CAGs.

yeah, the story was creepy but disappointing...either way, it didnt do jack to ruin the game...i cant imagine how good this game would've been if the story was that much better....the game was definitely one of my favorite survival-horror/action games of all time....its also one of the last console games that i just couldnt stop playing until i beat it

Very good effort from Midway, I can see alot of room for improvement though. I'm hoping they make a sequel and it kicks just as much ass.
For $30 I give it high thumbs up, for $50 it's not far off from worth it.

What I thought it was lacking was scare factor after the first hour. I was really engrossed in Silent Hill but The Suffering didn't scare me much. It was a really good game though, the complaints I have are pretty minor.

yeah some of the "scares" were pretty lame. I did get shocked once or twice.

I picked it up for 30 dollars 2 weeks ago and i loved it, my favorite game so far in about a year. The atmosphere was amazing, not scary but just right but the endings were horrible...

I hated those endings. That' was the only disappointing thing IMO. I thought it got repetive sometimes but it wasn't really a flaw for me. Great and fun action game.

It's a pretty fun game, and it does have its scary parts. :D

I loved it even though it had a bad plot. But when you think about it, a lot of horror games as well as horror films have bad plots.

This game is one of the best horror games out there. Two other games I likes is the Thing and a PC game called Undying (which is the best horror game hands down).

A lot of the others have been mediocre to crappy..

I'll second this. The demo seemed pretty fun, but not quite sure I'd drop more than $15 on it.

I was very surprised by this game.. I expected a so-so game to take up some time, but was really engrossed by it. And while not scary persay, it does an amazing job messing with your head ala Eternal Darkness.
