does ps3 play ps games?

Actually I guess it depends on the model. 20gb and 60gb play pretty much all, 80gb plays most I think but check the playstation site to make sure the ones you want to play work fine, and the 40gb plays PS1 but not PS2 games from what I understand.

All PS3s play all PSX games, I think Driver 2 is the only exclusion.

60GB/20GB play 95% of PS2 games
80GB plays 70% of PS2 games
40GB plays no PS2 games
