So I went to toys r us today for their buy 3 get one free sale.
I ended up getting
Scene it! (360)
Viva Pinata Party Animals (360)
Beautiful Katamari (360)
Wii Carnival Games (wii..duh)
I wanted Scene IT!, VIVA/BEAUTIFUL are xmas gifts for the new girlfriend.
We played Wii carnival games for like an hour, but I got bored quickly.. we couldnt earn tickets in two player mode and the games seem relatively dry.
She bought me Trauma Center NB for Xmas.
I have
Super Paper Mario
Trauma Center SO
Resident EVIL UC
Fire Emblem (still sealed..debating on to keep or not)
Super Mario Galaxy (still sealed once again.. debating)
Is there anything out there for the wii really worth buying? Or is it just mainly renting..
I really wanna go back to Toys r us or have CC price match the deal so I can save even more money.. but are there 4 other WII games worth owning?
Keep SMG its one of the best games I've ever played. Each level is a visual treat!

Super Mario Galaxy is just about it imo right now. Everything else I bought I would have been satisfied with just renting.

Zack & Wiki is most certainly an excellent title, though I don't know about how much of a replay value one could get out of an adventure game when that person isn't me. I hang on to every adventure that I'd buy (so long that it doesn't suck - ask me about Syberia if you want to hear hate) and generally revisit those titles whenever I get my dumbass friends to finally jump on the bandwagon (of which I am generally the sole "rider").
I do find it odd that so far not one person has mentioned Metroid Prime 3 Corrpution. I got really bored with Prime, and ditto goes for Echoes. Corruption, however, is flawless as far as I'm concerned. I love everything about that game, and I think it is by far one of the best games on the Wii, on par with Super Mario Galaxy. Its hard mode that you can unlock can always serve you well in moments of draught (and I think that we'll see another one on the Wii sooner than later) - and I recommend this to everyone looking for an excellent first person adventure. It owns any RE game I've seen, but then again - I'm a bit biased, since I think that RE4 is grossly overrated, despite certain moments of what I'd consider "classic" gaming goodness.

Since you already have Mario (best game on the system by far) I'd also recommend Zelda and Metroid 3.

RE4, SMG, Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3 and Umbrella Chronicles all spring to mind...

I sound like a broken record about this game, but get Excite Truck.
Once you get the steering down, getting the S ranks on regular and then Super Excite mode is fun and lasts a long time.
There are extra vehicles to unlock as well.

You really need Zelda and Metroid Prime 3. They are must-owns for the system. As far as my personal recommendations go, I would say Mario Strikers if you want a good multiplayer game and RE4 Wii Edition if you haven't played RE4 yet. If you can get a good deal on Excite Truck, then get it because that game is my favorite non-Burnout racing game.
Also... OPEN MARIO GALAXY! NOW! (And don't open Fire Emblem if you havent played Path of Radiance. Radiant Dawn is a sequel to it, so play the first one first)

there are a handful of great games for Wii out right now, but i think the only 2 games with infinite replay value out right now are Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Mario Strikers: Charged.
The EA games (Madden, NBA, ect) have a huge replay value, especially with online, but when the '09 versions of the games come out the '08 games will be duped.
Oh ya... of course when they come out, Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart seem like they will also have infiinite replay value.
