DS/Wii connectivity: when, what and why?

The DS/Wii connectivity has only and will only be used in pokemon titles so far, but what titles do you think it should be used for? and why? and when?

Animal Crossing? I've never played Animal Crossing.. but it'd probably be neat to visit the DS one on your Wii.. Maybe also be able to visit the gamecube one off a memory card.

We're going to get a Wii channel that lets you download DS demos.

Actually this works with Geometry Wars for Wii & DS. I'm pretty sure there's something to unlock when you connect the DS version with the Wii version.

Any games that are out for both Wii & DS should so something like this. For example, as far as I'm concerned Mario & Sonic at the Olympics for Wii and DS won't be doing this. I think that's pretty dumb.

I really hate this unlockable bullshit. If I'm paying $50 for a Wii game and/or $30 for a DS game I want all the code it has to offer on the game and not be forced to buy both versions to get extra, secret content thats already there ! If I have to complete a game to get it, fine, but making me get every version to get it makes me feel like I'm being cheated since it's sitting there on the disk already.

Pokemon also has ds/wii connectivity, but thats no surprise as every pokemon handheld eventually got that feature

I agree with bmulligan for the most part but what if they only required you to pay once for having it on both systems? (I know it won't happen, but I for sure would like to see it)

Doubt it will ever be useful for anything other than getting DS demos eventually.

I'm guessing it's because Hunters came out before the Wii existed. Echoes didn't do anything if you owned Zero Mission.

Yeah, you unlock extra planets. Also, you can download Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved onto your DS without owning the DS version.

It would be nice if there was some way to update Zelda:Four Swords to use the DS instead of the GBA. It's a bitch to use the GBA with limited battery life and no backlight. Don't have any SPs, so I can't use that idea.
