Resistance 2 trademark found

We all knew it was coming. Resistance 2, sequel to Insomniac's PS3 launch FPS, has been appearing in the rumor mill for quite some time now. Well, it looks like the game is getting closer to being officially announced. A new trademark for Resistance 2 was filed by SCEA, suggesting the game is being prepped for a release later in 2008. We're not surprised, really. We just like to think of this trademark filing as a little pre-Christmas gift that SCEA Claus decided to leave in our stocking.

Although this should come as no surprise, it's good to hear this is some confirmation a Resistance 2 is on its way (probably in late 2008). Good news nonetheless because I found Resistance to be a very good launch game, and definitely feel improvement could be made (like better graphics, online co-op maybe, etc.)

We'll see when the game is officially unveiled, but I'm guessing anywhere from March (around GDC) to E3.

Maybe the first one will finally drop in price. I enjoyed the demo but I can't justify paying more than 30 bucks for a game that's more than a year old (unless it's something very rare and/or desirable).

Since the first one is still selling well, I think SCEA wants to get as much they can out of the game (like MS did with Halo on Xbox for a while).

I haven't finished the first one yet, but what I have played is good. I am not fond of the online. Whenever I play it is laggy as hell and I just don't really care for it. I hope the second one gets me interested into the online aspect. That and an online co-op you be awesome!

I love the online in the first game. I play it everday. I can't wait to see what they do with Resistance 2 in the online department. Hopefully they just rip off whatever Halo 3 has and put it into the game. I would love to take videos and pictures and be able to track stats better. For Resistance tracking stats is a bitch because the website sucks.
