Can you just insert the 20 gb HD in the Xbox first, select copy or move, then insert the 120 and do it from there? Or is it only do-able with the transfer cable? How does the transfer cable thing work?

I believe you need the data transfer cable.

Memory card would work, too.

Unfortunately, some saves won't transfer that way though.

You plug in the transfer cable on the USB port on the back of the 360.

If I remember correctly from when I did it, the 20GB was sitting in the normal spot on the 360 and the 120GB was connected via the trasnfer cable.

Boot up off the included CD, and let it do its thing. It'll move everything from the 20GB to the 120GB and you'll end up with a blank 20GB in the process.

Yes, that is a GOOD thing to remember....it wipes out the 20GB drive, so don't think you are backing things up.

That would literally require magic.
