I just got the new issue of OPM and there are plenty of good demos with the highlight being Burnout 3. I played this demo a few times and it's seriously the best racing game I've ever played, even though it's only one lap of a race. :D It's so much fun watching your car get tossed up in the air and getting mangled by the second. It's so intense when your see a competitor smash into a car right next to you. If you want to get a look at Burnout 3, get the new issue of OPM now! :!: It's isuue 84 if you need to know.

Woah, I had no idea there was a demo already, I'll have to pick that up. Burnout 2 is insanely good and 3 looks even better.

I just don't get what people find so amazing about the Burnout series. I rented it, played it for 3 hours or so, learned to detest it and immediately took it back. It simply has no redeeming qualities to me.. watching a big animated wreck gets boring after the first 8,000 times.

I just finished a race where I pushed opponents into wrecks 3 times. What an adrenaline rush!!! I've been playing it for about 20 minutes and it's not getting old. This is my #1 most wanted game, even ahead of GTA:SA.

I've barely played the first 2 games and thought the same thing, but this is different. Give it a try and you'll be hooked.

Burnout isn't just crash mode, there's pursuit mode and regular racing too.

I think since games like Daytona USA and Ridge Racer fell out of favor and most racers are like Sega GT, PGR and Gran Turismo the arcade nature of this game is a breath of fresh air to people.

This'll probably be one of the few online games where being an ass actually pays off.

I swear your post count consists mainly of these types of posts. You should change your avatar header when you hit 1k to something like "Official CAG Duplicate Post Nazi".

I'm not familiar with the Burnout series... is the "Crash Mode" of which you speak similar to the stunt mode in SanFansisco Rush for Dreamcast? I've spent many a fun night just blasting some music and playing 4-player stunt mode in Rush. That was an unrecognized classic. It's amazing how much they added to that game when they ported it from the arcade.

That's the only demo I played for more than 5 minutes this month. It is fun for the 'arcade' racing style which has gone by the wayside in recent years. But $50 for this game? No, thanks. 10 minutes of the demo was enough for me.
Did anyone play that stupid Japaneese fish game? Now that was a big waste of time. Yeah, I'm a fish and this stupid bearded Japaneese guy won't freaking shut up!

The Test Drive demo is pretty fun, too. It's a county fair type racing game. It lets you try four types of races: Figure 8 Jump, Demolition Derby, Jump Race, and Suicide Surprise(where two groups of cars race in the opposite direction on an oval track). It's fun to smash other cars, and you can hear the announcer yelling when two cars hit each other. It's a fun demo that I hope turns into a fun game.

I played the demo of Burnout 3 at BB for a few minutes, and I must say that it was much better then I expected. It was the first time I have even played a demo of any game in the series, and I can see why its a popular series.
