Okay well as promised I'm back from a two week "vacation" of Christmas shopping, car shopping and lots and lots of other busy-work =) That being said, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you ^_^ As a special thank you, I'm returning with my weekly gift-giving and a bunch of new prizes as well. Many of the old ones have been accounted for, but you'll see some familiar ones returning. I've decided that after two weeks if a prize is not selected I will be listing it in my eBay store, that way I can keep the list fresh and perhaps move some merchandise that is otherwise just sitting around.

Now the reason you're here. The prize List!

01) Untold Legends (Sony PSP - Complete)
02) Viewtiful Joe (Gamecube - GH version)
03) Spiderman 2 (Gamecube - Complete)
04) Knuckles Plushie (Similar to the Sonic one)
05) 3-in-One Headphones for the DS Lite (includes built in Stereo FM Radio)
06) Tony Hawk's American Sk8land (Nintendo DS)
07) SSX Tricky (Nintendo Gamecube)
08) Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (Nintendo Gamecube - Some scratches, plays fine)
09) Soul Calibur III (Playstation 2 - Disc only)
10) $10 Gift Certificate (Goombucks) to my eBay auctions (No expiration)
11) James Bond: Agent Under Fire (Gamecube - Complete)
12) Madden 2002 (Gamecube - Complete)
13) Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (Gamecube - Complete)
14) Star Wars: Bounty Hunter (Gamecube - Complete)
15) Gunpey DS (Nintendo DS - Complete)

The Questions:

1) Which prize would you select (if you're chosen as the winner you will get the prize that you chose in your response)

2) Do you own any classic video game systems? If so, do you still play them or are they just collecting dust?

Contest ends on Sunday Night (12/30/2007) at 10:30 PM (I've changed it from midnight to give me more time to do the videos and such).

---------------

BONUS: As a bonus, and for not having a contest next week I will be picking TWO winners. First winner has first choice and this contest is open to Goozex and CAG winners, but there will be only one pig drawing this time with two winners' names selected. Good luck!

If you haven't joined Goozex yet, I highly recommend you check it out :) You'll get a free game and a free trade credit, and I'll pick up 5 free trade credits if you go through my referall link (simply click my Goozex banner in my signature). As always, good luck and thanks for playing!

I'd select the $10 gift certificate.

I have:
2 Aquarius with one mini expander all with box
1 Woody Atari 2600 with a beat up box
1 Original Gameboy
2 Original SNESs one with a decent looking box
1 Original Genesis with Original Sega CD the power connector on the back of the genesis is shot
1 Original (not that they remodeled it...) N64
1 Original PS1
1 Late Model Gamecube (replaced my original (with progressive scan output) Gamecube that died when I left it on overnight for a month)
1 Phat DS
and one of each of the new systems.

I had an original NES (I think I actually had 2) but they got trashed (this was before the internet so I didn't know it was fixable) due to contact problems.
I also had a master system in box with a bunch of games but I think my dad trashed them when we had our falling out...... about the master system, not falling out with my dad.

I'd only call the aquarius and 2600 a classic system, though others may disagree.

And I only play my PSWii60 and DS. Even though the 2600 has the best game ever on it... Video Pinball.

Hey Goomba! Hope you're having a good Christmas :)

1) I would choose the $10 Goombucks certificate

2) I still have a Super NES, a Game Boy Color and an N64... I still occasionally play them when I'm feeling nostalgic. ;)

12-26-2007, 12:52 AM
I choose Untold Legends for the PSP.

Most of my old systems is collecting dust. Once a while I'll hook up the old systems and play a few games. Recently I just replayed Chrono Trigger again on the Snes. Amazing game.

dim2192
12-26-2007, 12:56 AM
1)Tony Hawk's American Sk8land (Nintendo DS)

2) Yes I do:
Dreamcast: Still playing it (Jet Grind Radio still gives me chills)
PS1: Havent played it in a while, why should I when I have a PS2?
Super Nintendo: Havent played it in years
N64: I usually play it occasionally, havent played it recently
Game Boy Advance: Never play it

goomba478
12-26-2007, 01:01 AM
Slayzz, You're right about Chrono Trigger...I really owe it to myself to finish that game and SOON. I'm considering to buy a PS3 just so I can have a portable PSone system (to which Chrono Trigger/FF1-9 and TONS of other RPG's would be playable from work...very tempting).

freakyzeeky,

Thanks :) Yes I had a really awesome Christmas actually ^_^ We ended up buying a Toyota Highlander (even though I'm generally very anti-SUV, we needed something with 4WD to get through the snow/ice in this area). I also got to see the majority of my family too which was nice =) Thanks for asking!

12-26-2007, 01:03 AM
dim2192, I just bought a black Dreamcast last week (always wanted one) and picked up Jet Grind Radio too. I played it when it first came out and was amazed by the cel-shaded graphics back then (it was truly one of the first ever to do that style) and I'm still loving it now. Glad I'm not alone!

1) Which prize would you select (if you're chosen as the winner you will get the prize that you chose in your response)
Prize number 10 if I were to win.

2) Do you own any classic video game systems? If so, do you still play them or are they just collecting dust?
Nes gaining dust somewhere, everything else was passed on to others.

1) Untold Legends (Sony PSP - Complete)

2) I own a PS1..it collects more and more dust every day as I never play it..the only game I have for it is Madden 2002.(probably the reason why I don't play it)

Glad to see people interested in Untold Legends for the PSP and the Goombucks ^_^ Good luck everyone!

12-26-2007, 01:33 AM
1. Viewtiful Joe (Gamecube - GH version)
2. N64 - My most used classic system, used mainly for banjo kazooie and tooie.
Dreamcast - Don't really use at all, I really need to purchase some games (all I got from the seller was sports games)
PS1 - Haven't used since I got the PS2

goomba478
12-26-2007, 01:38 AM
T4Revan, I've heard a LOT of great things about the Banjo games but no longer have an N64. Glad to hear that they're that good that you still play them :) I'll definitely pick them up if they ever come to the Virtual Console (with Rare being owned by Microsoft I'm not sure that'll ever happen, but who knows, crazier things have happened).

PenguinoMF
12-26-2007, 01:48 AM
1. Tony Hawk's American Sk8land
2. I own a NES that I bought from a guy trying to trade it in at Gamestop last summer. They of course wouldn't take it to I offered some money for it. It didn't work and I ordered a new 72 pin connector but haven't put it back together properly. So its collecting dust.

goomba478
12-26-2007, 01:50 AM
LimpBizkit,

I've often been tempted to buy things at Gamestop when people are trading them in. You know you see someone trading in a game you'd gladly pay $20 for and the Gamestop guy says "We'll give you $5 for it"... I don't know the legality of offering the person a higher amount (in cash) but I'm sure it'd be a quick way to get banned from that store and just about any other store. Still, it'd be nice.

The Questions:

1) If I won, I would choose "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (Nintendo Gamecube)"

2) I own a NES, SNES, N64, TG-16, CD-i, Dreamcast, Playstation, and Neo Geo AES. I play my SNES and N64 the most because there are so many awesome, nostalgic games on them. I play the PSX a lot because it kicks ass. It can play just about anything, regardless of how scratched it is. I cannot find any of the games and accessories I need for my Dreamcast, so I've never played it.

whitedeath
12-26-2007, 01:52 AM
1- soul calibur 3

2- i use to own a nes, genesis, sega cd and saturn but got into finicalk debt so i sold them on ebay. if i still had them i would have still played them sure you can;t beat classic games

king ccm
12-26-2007, 01:58 AM
I'd like soul calibur 3 please!

As for classic systems, I proudly own a ps1, an n64, and a gameboy pocket. The ps1 gets my play for crash bandicoot still!

EDIT: I just remembered that I have a really old atar that I bought off some guy for 5 bucks!

goomba478
12-26-2007, 02:05 AM
whitedeath, Amen to that. You really CANNOT beat classic games. I hold onto my old systems for dear life as well though I probably would sell them if I was in a financial mess (which currently I am, but not yet to that point!). They'd have to pull my Dreamcast away from my arms before I'd ever give that wonderful gaming machine up.

SlashingSlayer
12-26-2007, 02:10 AM
I'd select the $10 gift certificate.
The REALLY old atari (you know the one with that bomb game and you have to catch them) don't play it though

goomba478
12-26-2007, 02:15 AM
I've noticed that a lot of people don't play their classic systems. I have to say that I'm the same for the record. I own still an original Gameboy, a classic GBA, several GBA SP's, two SNES's, a Sega Genesis, a Sega Saturn, 3 PSone systems (including one Japanese one), Two Dreamcasts, 5 Gamecubes, and all the newer systems except the PS3. What do I play? 90% of the time I play my DS/PSP on the road 5% of the time I play my Wii when I'm not busy at work, 3% I play my PS2 with games like Odin Sphere and the remaining 2% I play my Xbox 360 (since I seldom have much time to sit on the couch to play games these days).

We really do hold onto our systems for very little reason other than nostalgia, but it's nice knowing I can just fire up my SNES and play some Killer Instict any time I want. Legally too :)

freegood
12-26-2007, 02:23 AM
1. Spiderman2 for the GC

2. N64-I used to play it all the time, but stopped after the controls became mush and I couldn't find decent replacements. Favs were Smash Bros., Zelda, Bomberman, and Mario Kart
Sega Genesis- Unfortunately the console was stolen along with other stuff from my home, but my games are in tact.
NES- Every year, I take it out and replay SMB3 and Megaman 2 and 3. It has shown it's age but still fun to play.

Cool contest.

Merry Christmas, Goomba.

I'd select the Knuckles Plushie
The oldest system I own is a Super Nintendo, and it definately just collects dust.

1. Spiderman 2 for GC

2. None anymore, I've always upgraded from N64-->Gc----> Wii

Cai
12-26-2007, 02:34 AM
1) Knuckles Plushie (because we all know Knuckles is badass)

2) Yes, a Sega Game Gear; Sega's response to Nintendo's Gameboy. Do I pull out the old Game Gear these days? No. I'd most likely just use an emulator if I had an urge to play any Game Gear games. Still the massive Game Gear will remain in my collection, so I can school my future children in past console/handheld history.

yummytyson
12-26-2007, 02:52 AM
1) Knuckles Plushie

2)
SNES. I rarely play it, usually when i'm craving some old classics.
Nintendo 64. I don't touch it at all, last time I did was probably two years ago.

12-26-2007, 03:25 AM
I would take the Knuckles Plushie (Similar to the Sonic one)

I own a NES and SNES with a ton of games still but they have been collecting dust this year as I have moved twice and haven't been able to unbox them

We really do hold onto our systems for very little reason other than nostalgia...

That's not the reason I still have everything I do. I just haven't gotten around to selling/trading it yet. I'm lazy and selling/trading used stuff is a lot of work.

12-26-2007, 03:59 AM
1) Knuckles plushie, hands down!

2) I do not own any at the moment, hoping to pick up a sega genesis/sega cd or SNES this year.

UltimoRey
12-26-2007, 06:17 AM
07) SSX Tricky (Nintendo Gamecube)

I have an original Gameboy and A Playstation (i think it was the 2nd edition, before it got all small).

ritchardf
12-26-2007, 09:07 AM
soul calibur 3 for ps2

lets see, i went through a collecting phase, so here goes.
2 or 3 regular nintendos and roughly 6 pin connectors
original pong game
collecovision
atari 2600
a sega master system
a super nintendo
a sega genesis (series 2) with sega cd and 32x
series 1 sega genesis
3DO
sega dreamcast
atari jaguar
original playstation 1 and 2 and gamecube
game boy, game boy color, game boy advance
virtual boy

do i play any of them? no, not really, though i did play theme park in the 3DO a couple weeks ago just because I felt like playing it and didnt have the game on any other system, though there are sega cd games that id love to try if i could find them.

Mr. Goomba, I would like that Viewtiful Joe. I remember playing it years ago and got such a rush. The first time I used his powers, AWESOME!!! and not to mention funny, 'cause it was soo cheesy.

I had an SNES, but it wasn't that classic since it was that redesign Nintendo was selling for $50. Sadly with most of my childhood it was thrown away. The most tragic thing was, I didn't have many games for it. I had Street Fighter II and Super Mario World, and a few other games that were sadly crappy. The ones I did have were freakin' old by the time I got it, worn out by years of wear and tear. :(

Anyway, I thought you'd end this year with a high note like giving out copies to your guide to life. (http://www.amazon.com/Goombas-Guide-Life-Steven-Schirripa/dp/1400046394)

1. Knuckles Plushie

2. Atari 2600 , NES , Neo Geo MVS, SNES, Genesis, Action Max (it was a light gun system that you plugged into a VCR and the games were VHS tapes).

Danro
12-26-2007, 09:26 AM
1) Spider-Man 2 GC
2) Yes, I have the ultimate classic system: a Panasonic 3DO. If people complain about the price of systems now, they should have bought one of these when they were first released. I take it out of storage every now and then to play Twisted or Star Control 2. I love the headphone jack on the controller. Great for when you dont want to wake everyone in the house up.

I would choose:

08) Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (Nintendo Gamecube - Some scratches, plays fine)

I own a ton of old systems. My atari 2600, 5200, Intellivision, and Colecovision are all collecting dust. I have my sega genny, saturn, dreamcast, nes, snes, n64, gamecube and ps2 are all hooked up in the basement. I play the nintendo ones often but I don't have many games for my saturn and dreamcast. Upstairs I have my 360 and wii. I play my 360 the most. Oh, I have my virtual boy hooked up in the basement as well. It gets played some.

I have a SNES and N64, only about 5 games for each system. I would play them if I actually get more games for them.

My oldest system is my Sega Genesis. Too bad it broke though, now I can only play Sonic 2 through XBLA...

1) Soul Caliber 3 please
2) I own Genesis 32x and 3 sega cds because they break a lot so I get them when I see them cheap, I have a SNES at a friends house that has been there for 3 years. I still play my Genesis and Sega CD though. I play a game called Third World War on CD still, its been over 10 years and I still can't beat it.

mguiddy, okay you're right...nostalgia and laziness :) I have to admit that part of my collection is due to laziness as well but that's why I'm trying to clean out my excess collection by giving it to you fine folks and ebaying the rest ^_^ About time I get my gaming collection organized! Thanks for everything guys :)

detectiveconan, That's awesome that you found that book "A Goomba's Guide to Life". Actually, after he wrote that book he came to do a book signing at the casino I work for... I was tempted to get a copy and get it autographed but it turned out I had to work that day and employees weren't allowed to go to the book signing anyhow. Still a great name for the book hehe. I'll probably pick up a copy sometime :) There's also a Goomba's Pizza somewhere in my home state which I have to hunt down sometime. hehe.

1) I would Select #4, the Knuckles Plushie. Come on, Who is Cooler than Knuckles? (sonic is pretty pimp though.)

2) Unfortunatly not any longer, But out of the classics i had a Sega Genesis. Man i loved the 16 bit days. Still do thanks to Roms.

12-26-2007, 01:03 PM
1. Spider-Man 2 for the GC

2. My classis systems are

TurboGrafX 16
2 NES
2 SNES
3 Genesis
N64
Saturn
PS1

I play them every now and again but for the most part I play my newer systems.

Danimal

1. Tony Hawk's American Sk8land (DS)

2. I have a few older systems; unfortunately they're all collecting dust at the moment. A few of them get hooked up occasionally, but even for those, it's been a while.

Dreamcast- sometimes I'll hook it up for the first Soul Calibur. Otherwise, at this point it's a paperweight.

Sega Genesis- my wife and I sometimes take it out of mothballs to play Toejam & Earl together, but it's been 2-3 years since we last did that.

Nintendo 64- My son wants this for his room. I told him OK, as soon as his room is clean. So far, it's still sitting in my closet.

Gameboy Advance (x2) Both my kids have these but never use them anymore since we gave them each a DS Christmas '06.

PS2- Is this considered an "older" system yet? I guess not, but in any event, I haven't turned it on since I got my 360 a few months ago.

1) I'd choose Gunpey for the DS. I've been interested in that game for a while..but I never got around to getting it!

2) I have a few systems..SNES, Genesis, N64, Saturn, and Dreamcast. Sadly, in my new apartment I really only have room for my 360 & Wii. Eventually, I'd like to at LEAST get the Dreamcast back up and running again for any MvC2 fixes.. or Chu Chu Rocket! ;)

Thanks for doing this!

goomba478
12-26-2007, 02:12 PM
lilboo, you're welcome :) Glad to see someone choose Gunpey. I do believe you're the first on the list to single that one out ^_^ Oh and cool Zack & Wiki character icon near your Wii tag at the bottom. Very cool!

I'm totally with you on the Dreamcast MvC2 fixes hehe. I also could use a bigger apartment =P Quickly outgrowing this one.

Question 1: Knuckles Plushie (Similar to the Sonic one)

Question 2: Most of my old school systems are with my younger bro at my mom's house. So I myself havent gotten to play them in awhile. However when I had access to them I would. My old school systems include:

Regular Nintendo - Not the new style. The "blow me" stlye lol. Dragon Warrior is my game of choice when i dust off that bad boy.

Super Nintendo - Earthbound & Secrect of Mana are still 2 of my favorite games.

We most likely have a old school Atari boxed up but havent seen it in about 10 years.

Thanks

11) James Bond: Agent Under Fire (Gamecube - Complete)

as for classics I have a Genisis, DC, NES, SNES, 2600, N64, and a PS1 and all of them are gathering dust, the DC the least since it was the last one I played.... last summer sometime :)

I'd choose the Goombucks, please.

As far as retro/classic systems...

*Top-loading NES
*boxed SNES
*N64
*PS1

My N64 definitely gets the most playtime. I actually have two PS1s now (boxed-type and PSone) but I rarely play them since my games play well on my PS2. My favorite N64 games are Sin & Punishment, Mario Tennis, and a ton of others.

I haven't played my SNES or NES in years, though my top-loader will probably go to my girlfriend as a present since she has three times the NES games I have (I sold my original NES + game years ago.)

This is great that you do this!
1) I'd choose Viewtiful Joe to finally get rid of my suspicion that I would not like it despite all the praise it's gotten.

2) My entry in the gaming console brag-fest:
TI-94/A
Atari 2600 (2)
Apple IIE (this totally counts thanks to Number Munchers and Oregon Trail)
NES - original model
Master System (3)
Genesis (2)
Super Nintendo
PlayStation
PS2
Wii

Most of these are in storage due to space constraints and the fact that emulators exist, however I've been thinking of dragging a Genesis out so I can play Shining Force 2. I do have a Genesis and Master System at my parents' house, so when we visit them I play a lot of California Games, Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiago, Mega Bomberman and Mutant League Football. I do play PS1 games quite a bit, but it's on my PS2.

12-26-2007, 04:24 PM
04) Knuckles Plushie (Similar to the Sonic one)

(Tried for Sonic and failed, maybe Knuckles will give me better luck!)

Hmmm, well how about I list my systems and their usage...
Gameboy (x2) - None
Gameboy Pocket - None
Gameboy Color (x2) - None
Gameboy SP - Some
Nintendo DS - Often
N64 - Some
PS2 - Often
Xbox - Often

I used to have a PS1 and SNES but they've gotten lost in the shuffle all these years...

goomba478
12-26-2007, 05:23 PM
Don't feel bad tyhana, After all I don't get to pick the winner :) If I did you'd have an advantage with the Evangelion avatar hehe. Good luck with Knuckles!

1: $10 Gift Certificate (Goombucks)

2: I own all consoles, so I'd say I do have "classics". I'd say my SNES gets a fair amount of use; I replay Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, and other addictive classics every year or so. 2D gameplay has a certain charm and gameplay mechanics to them that 3D just can't translate very well with remakes or sequels.
None of my consoles collect dust, though - they're all neatly placed in bubble wrap =)

Knuckles Plushie.

The only "classic" system I have is the Snes, which has turned yellow with age and is in a bag under my bed. I can't remember the last time I played it, but I remember it was LttP and that it was a long long time ago.

1) 04) Knuckles Plushie (Similar to the Sonic one)
2) Sega DC, PS1, Sega Gen/CD/32x all hooked up. Occasionally played--most recently was Point Blank (my boy was interested in a shooting game at Chuck E Cheese, but it was a blood-n-guts one, so we played Point Blank at home.)
In the garage is an NES and Atari 7800.
I wish I had or could make more time, there's a lot of great games on each console. I'd love to have the time to enjoy Skies of Arcadia or Vandal Hearts again, and there would be something to be said for whipping out the 7800 and its true backward compatibility.

You the man Goomba, thanks for the contests as always!

15) Gunpey DS (Nintendo DS - Complete) - Didn't know what is was untill I was looking at the prize list for a game on a system I had. I googled it and it actually looks fun I love puzzle games. :D

The only classic system I still have is a NES with Tetris and Ms Pacman. It's been along time since i've taken it down off the shelf though because both those games are very Xbox 360 friendly. All my other classic systems & games have been Ebayed/sold long ago or the cheaper games passed down to my niece and nephew who are new school old school gamers.

1 - 04) Knuckles Plushie

2 - I still own most of my classic consoles, and several of them are set up. I don't really play them often but once in awhile, I'll play something on my NES, Dreamcast, or Saturn.

1) #10

2) Nope. I wish I still had all my old consoles (excluding the consoles with games that work on current systems) but I was told to give it away to smaller kids in the family. I might still have an Atari 2600 somewhere in the house...

If selected, I'd choose the Knuckles Plushie. I have stuffed Sonic and Tails, so this would compliment them perfectly!

I have an original NES, but I don't have the TV hookups or AC Adapter. Otherwise, I'd still play like crazy! I have an original Game Boy that I play, on average, every couple months just for the original GB Tetris.

1) Which prize would you select (if you're chosen as the winner you will get the prize that you chose in your response)
I would like the Tony Hawk DS game.

2) Do you own any classic video game systems? If so, do you still play them or are they just collecting dust?
I have an N64 that I play regularly and am buying an SNES tommorrow.

01) Untold Legends (Sony PSP - Complete)

02) Nes, Snes and sega genesis with the sega cd thing. I could still play the snes but I dont, Nes is not really working well and the sega plug is not working.

Splatoon
12-27-2007, 02:45 AM
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter

Since I'm primarily a PC gamer, all my classic games are right at my fingertips, thanks to the magic of DOS Box. (And thanks to the magic of emulation, everyone else's games are there too. Wheee!)

1. Untold Legends for PSP

2. I don't know if Dreamcast is considered retro, but I pull that thing out every 2 months to get back into an arcadey mood. still beats XBLA.

also, I have a Neo Geo Pocket Color I will never be able to part with. Yes, I barely touch the thing now, but the nostalgia value and meaning it has to me is superb.

I'd choose the Knuckles Plushie.

I only own a SNES and 1 game for it. I play it every once in awhile but if I had more games i'd play it a lot more.C'mon, you have to tell us what that one game is!

As for me...
1. My pick: Knuckles Plushie (of course!)
2. My old-gen consoles:
I've got a Genesis Core that I've had since... I don't know, 10 years ago?

An SNES, also pretty old but not sure if it's a childhood one or a garage sale one.

A top-loading NES that I for some reason HAD to have and paid $100 for from ebay (this was a good 4 years ago, before I was such a cheapass). I lost the AC plug, and, unlike the slot-loading NES that can use a SNES adapter, the top-loading doesn't seem to be able to.

An N64, got it for Christmas (I think) the year of release (I think).

A Dreamcast that I got from a pawn shop for $30.

A Sega Saturn, ebay, $40. Originally bought this with the intention of chipping it to play burned games, but lost interest right after I bought it. Went to a lot of trouble getting the proper model as well. But I had always wanted one anyway, so it's nice to have.

Playstation (first model).

PS2/Gamecube/DS/Xbox.

Only the DS ever gets any love anymore. Emulators really do make it so much easier to play, even games I own (which is, er, every game I emulate). Want to eventually make an upright arcade cabinet with a computer for guts to play my roms on.

1) I'd take Viewtiful Joe.
2) I've got the Sega Master System I, Sega Genesis I, Sega CD I and 32x. I tested them all over the weekend and yes, they do work, but are collecting dust. My Saturn I still gets a lot of use thanks to Bomberman. I've also got a Game Gear that's on it's last leg as most of the pixels were busted the last time I turned it on. Dreamcast still gets some use, but mostly for homebrew (is that even a 'classic' system yet?). PSX (original) hasn't been touched in years.

Tony Hawk's American Sk8land

I would chose Untold Legends (Sony PSP - Complete)....(Need more PSP games xD)

The only system that I have that would be considered old is a Gameboy Color that I sadly don't play anymore.

Oh I am also on Goozex just not often. >.>

1) Which prize would you select (if you're chosen as the winner you will get the prize that you chose in your response)

Knucles Plushie of course. I love Knuckles.

2) Do you own any classic video game systems? If so, do you still play them or are they just collecting dust?

I have a SNES, and a virtual Boy collecting dust. Lost cables other parts when i moved a couple of times.

I also still have a Sega Dreamcast, I dont know if its old enough to be a classic, but i love it the same. Still play it from time to time. Sonic Adventure, Soul Calibur and Samba de Amigo

If I won I would chose SSX Tricky (Nintendo Gamecube).

I have:
Atari 800 - doesn't see much action
Gameboy Color - also doesnt see much action
SNES - play once and a while
Genesis with Sega CD and 32X - play once and a while
Dreamcast - still my fav for fighting games
Gameboy Advance SP - use it to play GBC games
Gamecube - play it all the time
DS Phat - play it all the time

smuglittleman, that's funny you bring up SSX Tricky :) I just (not even a minute ago) listed a copy with a BIN on eBay. It's really a great game, and definitely one of the best in the series! It just had a lot of character and the tricks were really fun :) If you don't win consider checking out my eBay store ^_^ Remember that all CAGs get 20% off shipping in my store! Just notify me when checking out to get the discount. Thanks!

Oh and you're right, the Dreamcast really has EXCELLENT fighting games, both in the 2D and 3D genres.

I bought a SNES with a ton of games a few years ago, and realized that I spent way too much and sold it shortly thereafter. I'm sure I have a PS1 lating around somewhere.

I'd go for the "3-in-One Headphones for the DS Lite (includes built in Stereo FM Radio)". The only classic system I haven't gotten rid of is my Genesis CDX, which is still all kinds of awesome.

1) I'd go for option number 4, the Knuckles plushie!

2) I have an NES (the front loading kind) and a gray brick Game Boy, but unfortunately I don't really play them. The NES seems to have some kind of error reading games that I don't really know how to fix, and I never really had many games for the GB to start with, aside from some 64-in-1 thing and Pokemon Red. The battery covery has also disappeared...

I still have all the games and accessories and packaging for the systems, though.

1) Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, please! :)

2) I used to have a Game Boy Color, but I think I gave that away to a younger relative... I wish I had started gaming earlier, though I'm glad I get a chance to play some of the older games with VC and all.

Wow, cool thread.

1) I'd choose SSX Tricky
2) I own a GameBoy Color. I don't play it that often because of the no backlight, but I just recently got Mario Bros Deluxe for GBC and I play that on my SP a lot. I also have a Nintendo 64 which has sort of been replaced by the Wii's virtual console.

1. I would choose the Knuckles Plushie.
2. I have an NES, SNES, Gameboy Color, SEGA Gamegear, and an N64. I don't know if all those count as "classic" consoles, but those are the older ones I have. I do play my N64 once in a while, but the others don't work very well.

I guess I'd select SSX for the GameCube.

I have an original GameBoy, but the next "oldest" system would have to be a GameCube. My mom unfortunately sold my NES at a yard sale, much to my dismay.

10) $10 Gift Certificate (Goombucks) to my eBay auctions (No expiration)

Yes, I had pulled out my NES and played it when my 360 got the red rings. We're so spoiled with save systems and such that the NES games were pretty hard if they didn't have a continue or such.
