GH3 or Rock Band

I want to grab either GH3 or RB, and I've read that RB is leagues ahead of GH and all that stuff. I'm hesitant cause the bundles $170 compared to $100. Plus, I dunno if the drums are worth $60 (I'll be playing this alone for the most part, and I would probably feel stupid singing lol).

The one advantage RB has right now, is that theres about 10 bundles at GS, while there's 0 GH3 bundles at GS. I'll probably have to use tons of gas and go to the mall to find GH lol

voted for rock band, the drums make it freaking awesome, and if you want, you can play the guitar, and if you like the guitar, the bass is pretty similar, the singing can wait til you do have people over and maybe they wanna sing, i have both, but the drums alone sell rock band for me.

Depends on if you're playing alone or with friends. Rock Band is great if you have a lot of friends to play with. GH is a better mono/duo kind of experience.

GHIII is better if you're mainly into playing the guitar, and if you'll be playing alone.
Rock Band's guitar parts won't challenge you as much, but you get more play out of the game because you have Drum career (and singing too). Even though I kind of suck, playing the drums is a blast.

i'm decent at guitar hero/rock band guitar, but i still find both challenging. Guitar Hero's challenge is so difficult on expert that it is just frustrating. so, unless, you are really amazing, i wouldn't say rock band won't challenge.
edit: guitar hero, while not as good, has a far superior guitar included.

you should look through the song lists of them and see which you prefer, and dont rule out gh2 either

I'm a drummer, and also a guitarist. Guitar Hero is sweet, but I've been loving Rock band just so I can play the drums, even though I have a real kit.

Also, there is a lot more downloadable songs in Rock Band than GH.

If you're connected to Live, I'd go Rock Band. There's online multiplayer (like in GH3), but the downloadable content is already miles ahead of GH.

If not, and you only care about the guitar, go GH3.

not sure about the aforementioned sodomy but i voted for rock band. i have the whole set up but even if u only play guitar i think its ahead of gh3 in all categories. great live play, better songs, and dlc that really adds to the game...

btw id rather have the bonus songs on rock band then a bunch of subpar foreign songs... i mean whats the point other than apealling to a larger demographic?

Sorry I won both thankfully because the rock band guitar has crapped out after 3 hours of bass playing!!

If it wasnt for my GH3 controller I would be stuck without a guitar and I would be forced to play the drums which personally I suck at.

Over all I love rock band but prefer the controller from GH3.

DLC is better priced for RB as well, I have 3 song packs downloaded so far, Punk Pack 1, Metallica Pack, Black Sabbath song pack.

Makes me feel special seeing so much DLC, Where is Who's Next already???

If you're playing alone, Guitar Hero III, for sure. I have both, and Rock Band only gets hooked up when I have other people to play with.

I have GH3 for PS3, bought it for the GF so she could play GH3 and GH rock the 80's.

For me, RB. I can play guitar or drums, my wife can sing or play guitar. Spending 40-60 bucks on a singing-only game is a waste for me (imho) since i can't/don't sing and she doesn't play enough to make it worth while (anyone want a used copy of Karaoke Revolution 1 or 2?).
I've bought bunches of DLC for RB, and the only fly in the ointment is the admittedly relatively widespread guitar QC issue. Got my coffin today to send back my guitar (actually it came pretty quick).
Even alone I like RB better than I think I'd like GH3 (disclaimer: I don't have GH3, I do have GH2, I checked out GH3 at the demo kiosks).

I haven't played Rock Band, but they ruined GH3 with these stupid battles. They are basically all luck and I can't even play the career on Expert anymore because I'm stuck on the Slash battle. I can beat songs before and after the battle easily too. The battles are basically all luck and are just plain not fun.
