It's a good price but I wouldn't buy a white one right now, They could send one of the models that plugs into a electrical outlet wall to charge and those ones don't work very good. The halo ones, However, Always seem to work.

I printed the webpage with the headset off the internet and PM'ed it to CC and got it for 37.98. I woulda just bought it at TRU, but it wasn't available online and when I went to B&M it rang up full price (59.99).

Watch out for this whomever tries to do this deal.

I bought a halo 1 and mine was broken so I'm not sure what is up with the headsets. I think they are just hit and miss.

The Halo ones use USB to charge while I think the standard white ones STILL use AC power to charge (atleast both of the ones I bought last year did)

i actually would prefer AC charging rather than USB, simply because my usb ports on my 360 are all taken up by lots of different stuff (i charge my phone, ipod e.t.c.).

The problem with the original ones was fixed in a system update. It was a problem between the headset and system in certain instances. Everyone I know has had no problems with the original AC adapter white ones in a while including myself (almost a year now).

Thanks OP, I PM'd the Halo one at CC for $40 after tax. Is it really better than the regular white one? I hate the colors on the Halo one, it's so fucking ugly.

Update: Serge2K posted elsewhere that there is a clearance page on TRU.com that lists this deal (the white 360 wireless headset), along with what look like they really are clearance items. An indication that maybe this version of the headset is being phased out ahead of the release of something better? I'll keep my fingers crossed.

The difference between the two so far as I can tell is that the Halo ones sound better. A friend of mine has both and I could tell quite easily which one he was wearing at any given time. For whatever reason, the Halo 3 one sounds better.

I had a couple of the Halo 3 headsets but was having problems with the mic picking up my voice. For some reason I would have to talk really loud for anything to go through. It became a problem since I play the most at night and sometimes people are sleeping.

The $39.98 price was online, not B&M; some (most?) TRU stores are emphatic that those are two different worlds. But it does appear to be dead online.
