Trying to play with four players but the third/fourth wiimote not showing up.
tried pressing the 1/2 buttons at same time to add on but small blue lights blink on bottom and go out.
Anyone know how to activate the extra controllers with this game.

first time I had trouble with these controllers works fine with wii sports, just not hooking up for mario party.
go to start game, pick four players, then little window pops to connect controllers an press A. Try to connect and nothing. Press a to exit then try to connect and again unable to

Did you try re-syncing the controllers to the console? (Hit the little red button on under the battery cover on the wiimote and red sync button on the console)

That or batteries.. If the wiimote blinks a few times at the bottom then goes out it's either
A.) Batteries have died out
B.) Resync Wiimote

I had the exact same problem at my in-laws. What worked for us was waiting until Mario Party loaded and then hitting the Home button on one of the controllers and selecting the "reconnect" option.
Once we did that, we were able to connect all of the controllers by pressing 1+2 one at a time.
Anytime we tried synching all of the remotes outside of the game, the 3rd and 4th Wiimote would drop out as soon as the game loaded.
