well. of course like most other people, i got a gift that isnt the greatest(i wont say what it is, but its a 360 game) and i asked if i could get the reciept so i can get a game that i want, they agreed. well now i can get a game that i actually want and was thinking between 2 games.

either the Orange box, or Mass Effect. both pretty damn good for what they are. anyways, what would you guys choose.

Mass Effect, I always thought of Half-Life being a better game to play on the computer.

ehh, well since the best my computer can run is everquest2 on the very lowest setting and warcraft3, the gaming has to be done on the 360.

I'd choose THE ORANGE BOX in a heartbeat.
Its the best Game package on the market.
Portal and Team Fortress 2 are enough to buy this alone.
Everything else is just extra gravy :D

I downloaded the demo of Half Life 2 EP 1 from XBL and enjoyed it so I purchased
the orange box. Once I started playing Team Fortress 2, I was truly hooked.
I havent even started playing the Half Life games yet

mass effect. either is great though, so you won't be disappointed. Portal is worth the price of half life by itself.

Halo 3 sold me on the 360. Mass Effect was my 2nd game. If you love shooters, Orange Box might be the way to go. But, ME is a FANTASTIC game.

Depends if you want another FPS, or RPG. Of course the better deal would be orange box, 5 games in 1 etc; but it's only really worth it if you haven't played half life yet(3 of the 5 games). You've also said you have halo 3, r6v, and cod4, those are great FPS games, and if you want to stray away from all the FPS, and go for a great RPG game, then go for mass effect.

Mass Effect, and when your done trade it in the "CAG Xbox 360 trade forum" for The Orange Box.

I have so many games for the 360, but the orange box is all I play. It has great single player games as well as deep multiplayer. I beat portal and then moved on to Half-life 2. While working on that game I signed up for live gold and have been playing TF2 ever since. Yeah, the 360 is filled with shooters, but this is an enormous value that includes great single player that has a better story line than halo or the COD games.

Of course, Im not excited about mass effect. I still have KOTOR, Jade Empire, Morrowind, and Fable from the original xbox to work on before I will even get Oblivion, let alone Mass Effect. Yeah, I'm behind.

1. You are pretty ungrateful and I can't believe you asked for the receipt
2. Orange Box

+1

Orange Box is a PC game. Play it on there. There's just a lot more to it (more free stuff, more control over the servers you play on, better control, etc).

If you have a really old PC, then go ahead on the 360. Other than that, no reason not to get the PC version.

Both, Orange Box first. Keep in mind you should try to get it for cheaper than you could Mass Effect.

I love portal, but does warrant the whole purchase. MAss Effect as an awesome story, but lacks a good battle system it is so complicated.

Orange Box, but both are must buys so just get which ever you feel like playing more right now. i.e. do you want an FPS or an RPG.

Both games are great but I would have to say Orange Box.

Orange Box, but only if you haven't played HL2 or Episode 1 already. Mass Effect is good, but I enjoyed OB much more, as it was the first time I experienced HL 2.
