Dashboard Update

I turned on my 360 to get the relatively new Dashboard update to allow Divx functionality but it didn't automatically prompt it. Is there a way to do this manually or did it perhaps do it without me noticing? Any way to check the version #?

try teseting your xbox live connection, sometimes that works

Well I think maybe I got the update because the Xbox Originals and other new things are on there now. However, I placed in a disk with Divx files and went to the media tab but I can't find a way to play them. Videos just takes me to downloaded videos and I can't select the disk itself for some reason.

Nevermind, I had to install an optional media update...hopefully it will work now

all you need to do is play your dvix file and it will prompt you into downloading the update.
