I received a copy of a game today in the mail from my aunt. It was a game I already purchased for myself (and opened) several days ago.
I know it was purchased at Wal-Mart and would like to make an exchange for a different game. One problem, though: the words, "Merry Christmas, Matt" were written in permanent marker on the shrink wrap.
Does anyone know if there's any chance I'll be able to exchange it? Could the store just re-wrap it?

Your best chance is taking back the game with your own receipt.

Exactly. As far as the permanent marker, try wiping it with a rag and some rubbing alcohol.

Did you try rubbing it down with nailpolish remover?

I can't, though. They're on different systems. My receipt doesn't even list the name of the game, either. It simply says, "Xbox 360". :-\
I'll try rubbing alcohol.
EDIT: Rubbing alcohol and a q-tip is working perfectly. never would have thought of that, myself. Thanks so much! :)

And glad I could help. :D

It's Halo 3, which I have had since release.
