Assasin's Creed a blind buy?

So is Assasin's Creed game worth a blind buy without renting it first? Everything I've read would say yes, especially at $39.99 at Best Buy.

I would rent it first or try and borrow it from a friend. I love this game and I think many people don't give it a chance, only playing it for the first 15 minutes and then saying it's a bad game. I swear some of these younger gamers have bad cases of ADD or extremely short attention spans.

However, for $39.99 its definitely worth imo. I would gladly pay $60 for this game again.

Hells to the no. I got that game for free,even though if you played about 2-3 hours a day you could finish it by the time school starts. It's super reptitive and if it weren't for all the hype, GFX, and the Havok Physics engine it would blow. Craigslist has tons of AC's at about $35 go there.

I would say NO NO NO NO NO. So many better games out there right now...this game could have been so much more than it is. Big dissapoinment IMO. Many liked it, I found it to be trite and fairly boring. The hunt of the execution towards the end of each "stage" (if you will) can be ok...but really nothing special.

I would maybe pick this up for $20-30...but honestly after about 2-3 hours I found myself very bored. I remember going through the last couple of hours saying to myself "will this just end already..."

I would pass.

I just finished the first assassination, so far i've enjoyed the whole experience very much -- a lot of people say it gets boring and repetitive but there are plenty of other games to play if you get bored with this one

i say grab it, $39.99 is the perfect price for this game
