i suggested to cheapyd that he make stickies of the bad traders lists at gametz and tradegamesnow, but he ignored that(i guess he wants nothing to do with this forum). Repeat scammers can just go from that site to here but if you cross reference their address, that would limit the potential for something to go wrong.

http://gametz.com/?S=11810879&A=BadTraders

that is the list of people and their addy's with bad trades reports filed against them within the last 7 days. To see the previous weeks list of bad traders, scroll to the bottom and click "previous 7 days of bad traders."

Here is the bad traders' page for tradegamesnow:
http://www.tradegamesnow.com/vbt.cfm?current=bad

I havent used the tradegamesnow site but here it is.

Remember ANY user with little to no feedback or with inflated feedback(trying to sell coupon codes for $2 for the metroid prime disc and that is their only fb) and they are a new user and asking you to send first, well that should be an obvious red flag.
I would also suggest that we keep a separate tally for trades done through live meetups. There is zero risk when trading games in person, but there is some risk and expense involved in trading games through the mail. If someone makes 50 trades locally and reports all 50, well their feebback is quite a bit more inflated than someone who trades 50 times through the mail.

Since I am making suggestions, it would also be a very good idea to make our feedback available on our profile. If someone has 20 feedbacks from selling coupon codes for the metroid prime demo disc at $2 each, and is asking you to send first in a trade for steel battalion, well obviously you would want to know this ahead of time. Which leads me to the final suggestion:

QUALITY CONTROL: Trades should have to be substantial, selling coupon codes for $2 each is not the same as trading games. We should probably limit the feedback to only trading games and game guides. If someone has 20 feedbacks from selling coupon codes, well that is not the same as trading games and the feedback from that should not count imo.

This sounds like a good idea, but then again its not too hard to bookmark those two pages. I think defender is working on a new feedback system similar to what you're suggesting as well.

This is useful, it helps us to know who to stay away from. Appreciate what you're trying to do, dracula.

great idea.

scammers move from one place to another making a couple of scams at once on one site leaving to another
