Hit 9 or 10 sales this morning, but most of them 'already traded them in to gamestop'. I did get a NES with 2 controllers, no hookups, and Dr Mario cart only for $3. The 'Latino guy' who buys video games already hit all of the sales (some of them an hour before they opened). The only one he didn't get to was the one I got the NES at.

Sega Saturn, 2 controllers, missing a/v cables
Virtua Fighter 2 (Cardboard Sleeve)
Daytona (Cardboard Sleeve)
Preview Disc (Cardboard Sleeve)
Wanted $3, offered $1 because of the missing a/v cable.
Any suggestions on finding a/v cables for the system? Can probably test it off of the S-Video port.

Scored after I asked about games. They said no, but I walked around to check some other things out. As I was walking out the wife said she sent her husband up into the attic to get their game stuff.
On top of what I got, they had a NES system with hookups and controllers, original Gameboy with a few games, and Atari 2600 with about 20 games too. Probably could have gotten it all for around $25, but just didn't want to deal with the Atari stuff.
Anyone out there that messes with Atari games/systems? Are they $worth$ picking up at .50 to 1.00 per cart?

Hit about 10 sales and saw jack,
30 miles later...sigh
I did just miss a DVD-R recorder for $5
And I was NFS Carbo 360 and Katamari Damancy for $10 a piece she said $15 I countered with $5 she wouldn't budge and I left.

My understanding is that most games go for about $0.50 - $1.00. However, recently a CAG member picked up an atari 2600 cart that turns out to be worth around $700.
Couldn't hurt if it's cheap.

Atari games are pretty hit or miss. They'll either be worthless, or worth hundreds. It's a good idea to get a general scope of the rare games, and keep an eye out for them in specific.

Finally got around to registering for this site even though Ive been looking at the yardsale forum for the past 2 summers. Havent found any yardsale stuff yet but I hit up goodwill at least 3 times a week. My GW use to sell games for $3 apiece but just today bumped it to $4 for some reason (still not bad though). For $21 (this is not a one day find) ive gotten kirbys dreamcourse, super mario world, super mario allstars, and mario paint no mouse for snes, tomb raider the last revelation, silent hill gh, and re2 dual shock edition for ps1. Today I bought Final Fantasy 7 for pc for $4 but its the Eidos Platinum Collection version which ive never seen before. All the disks are basically scratch less and are in the original little cardboard folder/sleeve thing. Anybody know how much this versions worth?

SNES Model 2 with 1st Party Controller & Hook Ups
1st Pary Playstation Controller (Analog)
$5
Found this in a box about a half hour after this sale started, also had an N64 with hook ups 2 baseball games but no controller marked $5 that I passed on. When I brought this stuff up to the lady running the sale she seemed really nice and made sure I knew that the SNES didn't have any games with it. I offered her $5 for both the SNES & PSX controller which she took, I was thinking about offering 2 or 3 for the SNES when I first saw it and picked it up but when I see stuff reasonably price and if the people selling seem nice I won't always shoot as low as I might otherwise like if the stuff seems questionable, missing a cord, something that might not work etc.
Tiny Toons Adventures ACME All-Stars (Genesis Boxed)
Ren & Stimpy: Quest For The Shaven Yak (Game Gear)
$2
Asked about video games at this sale and the lady running the sale said she had a few systems with a bunch of games she didn't bring out and said that they were going to sell them on eBay but offered to bring them out to show me. She brought out one of those clear bags that blankets come in with an N64 with a few controllers, Nomad & Genesis 3 along with a few Game Gear games & probably about 25-30 genesis games. I looked though the stuff and picked out these 2 games and offered her $2 for them as I didn't feel right offering something like .25 for each game with the trouble I had this lady go though bringing this stuff out for me to go though. 1st time I've seen a Nomad in the wild in years I tried it out on an extenion cord and it didn't seem to work the screen didn't show anything and the power light didn't seem to light up but flickered when I turned it off. I don't know for sure if it was the actual system that was broken or it was something else like the extenion cord not getting enough juice but the screen was rather scratched up and I could hear some small loose pieces shaking inside so I didn't bother making an offer for it as it would have been a backup system anyways. Really didn't see anything special that I didn't have amongst the non sports, good/good uncommon games in the bunch. A few better games I remember Mortal Kombat II, III, Sonic 3, Rocket Knight Adventures, Two Crude Dudes, Leathal Enforers II, The Incrediable Hulk. It was kind of sad seeing a good number of Genesis games and not seeing any earlier 1st party Genesis games (stuff like E-Swat, Last Battle, Mystic Defender etc.) as I am always glad to pick up such games if I see them complete but have them cart only.

Arch Rivals Acrade Machine
Free (Or $5)
I saw this at a sale around 9:15 and asked about it as it didn't have a price or anything on it. The lady running the sale said she didn't know if it worked and that I could have it as they did want it out of the house. I plugged it in and it didn't do anything. I said I'd be interested but couldn't take it in my car. When I got home I ended up calling my one friend that has a truck and lucky for me he wasen't working and his wife was off too so he wasen't stuck at home with the kids. I told him about the machine and offered him $5 to recoup his gas to pick me up and go pick it up as it wasen't to far of a drive since the sale wasen't far from my place or his. Brought Arch Rivals back to my place and was happy to see that it works as either the extention cord wasen't getting juice or the switch in the back that I didn't notice when I first tested it was off. Sorry that the pictures are bad as the lighting in my garage isn't very good but in the front where the coins go is covered up and when I fired up the machine all you had to do was hit start. I'll probably try and take some better pictures within the next few days and will edit them in if I do. I always wanted an arcade machine and I was rather happy that it was free and worked as a few years ago I saw a Robocop arcade machine off to the side at a garage sale and when I asked about it it wasen't for sale and needed some work :(
Not a find but I though this was funny. Asked about video games at one sale and the lady said her son had some old NES stuff but he lives in Virginia? (This being in Pennsylvania) She made a call and he wasen't interested in selling, but then he calls right back and told her he would sell them for $5 a game I asked to double check if it was a newer system, nope Nintendo as in probably NES. I said I wouldn't pay that much per a game to which she said he would just keep them for his son then. I was thinking your dam right he will keep them and if he can sell them for that much he'll go out of state to do so :D

I'm going to go crash, but I wanted to throw a link to my craigslist find from yesterday. You have to go a couple of posts back where I give the background. Long story short, this woman is splitting with her husband and selling his stuff, and listed electronic games for sale on craigslist.
I took a shot since she was nearby, and she had a huge CD case full of PS1 and PS2 games. This was my score of the century...I had the huge comics score from the swapmeet as a kid in the late 80's, and this is my big score for this century. I think I'm going to retire.
I just need her to find the damn cases for the games, as well as any more she has. Note she couldn't find the "Playerstation that plays the games".
$100, and there are probably at least 100 games in this CD case (though there are a bunch of multi disc PS1 RPGs, so I don't know the exact number). I will have to make a complete catalog/list of what's in it.

Jesus!!!! Retire, indeed.
I got a sweet CD spindle full of PS1 RPGs 2 years ago (including Valkyrie Profile, FF7, etc) but even that doesn't hold a candle to this.

I finally actually went yard sale-ing.
Got an old blocky game boy and super mario land for $1. I talked with the guy who was running the sale, he said he had some Amiga system and games, Atari, Nintendo and other stuff but he couldn't find them ATM.
I gave him my email and number and he said he'd call if he found them. Now, I never heard of this "Amiga" system but apparently lemmings first came out on it.
how rare is this system and the games? Hopefully he finds his old games and contacts me.
Also got a medium-large Hello Kitty and black teddy dog for $5.
At another yard sale, they said they had a bunch of games but they sold them yesterday to gamestop. All that was out was Frogger 2 for the PS1 which I passed on. Is Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge rare? I'm looking on eBay right now and i see all these listings with "rare!" in the title.
I'm about to head back out to some "multi-family" yard sale that I read about on craigslist. Hopefully I'm not too late.

Only got to check out about 5 sales due to a family crisis, but at the first sale I landed a decent deal.
I walked up to the lawn, and I saw Nintendo on the side of a box, and it was a n64 box. I asked about games, and he said there were a few inside of it. Here's what there was.
N64 System CIB with one or two controllers (didn't check yet), styrofoam, etc. Great condition, still has the $180 price tag on it.
Goldeneye CIB
Star Wars Rogue Squadron CIB
Star Wars Shadows of the Empire CIB
Quake II CIB
These are all in great condition, and have the cardboard insert and all the manuals/papers.
It was marked $20, but I offered $15 (forgot to CIF, doh!), and he hesitated a few seconds, but then seemed glad to accept.
I'll get pics later.

Seeing that arcade machine brings back a bad memory...I was GSing with my friends (when I was in High School) and saw an acade machine on a treelawn. The owner said it works and everything, but the coin door had a broken lock. I asked how much and he said you can have it.
I was excited until I realised my Mom had taken the minivan and I had no way to transport the game. The guy said he will hold it for me, so I left and waited for my mom to get home with the minivan. 5 hours later I get the minivan and drive back to the house and I see a pickup truck driving away with the machine in the back. :bomb:
I don't know what game it was, but I think it was similar to astroids. It was really old and basic, no graphics on the side or anything.

I can't find any listing on eBay to find out how much they cost though. I'm pretty sure it's this one, because he stated that Lemmings first came out on it and according to wikipedia, Lemmings first came out on this system.

Well, today was short and sweet. This was an awesome week, but expensive -- brought beer to a BBQ with my friends on Monday, went into the city with them for Coney Island and Kojima on Wednesday, and spent yesterday with my friends as well, we ended up going to GS and BB and I bought them a bunch of candy while flipping games and then BBQ'ed for them.
So, by this morning, I was down to $14 cash on hand, a couple of bucks in change, and couldn't find my ATM card. What a week. =D
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3276/2578280104_d7cfa04c91.jpg
So, let's see how I managed to stretch it:
Asked about games, the guy went inside and came out with about 12 NES titles. I offered him $5 for the lot, and he told me no less than $10 since "some guy on CraigsList" was offering him that. Instead of arguing that I was here and he wasn't, I just picked the best of the lot and CIF'ed $4.
$10 to go.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3181/2577447195_545c6dee3f.jpg
Remember, if there's anything that you're interested, pick it up and DON'T LET GO. There were two boxes, one of PS2 games and one of Cube games, marked $5 apiece. I was thinking about the Cube stuff (everything was in great shape, but they were titles like Sonic, etc. that I already had) and what to offer while perusing the much larger box of PS2 titles, when someone came over and grabbed them all.
I initially offered $3 for these (total was marked $11) and we settled on $5. I forgot to check boxes in my haste, and didn't notice that Goblin Commander was missing the manual. Discs and boxes are mint, though -- but always open cases!
$5 spent, $5 to go.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2343/2577447163_e70f939f39.jpg
I saw a bin of mixed Sega system games next to a box of NES games and sifted through them, the salerunner told me $1 each...there were a lot more Genesis games and some Sega CD and Saturn stuff, but it was all racing, wrestling, and sports titles.
I tossed the Genesis games into the NES box and offered $5 for everything; they told me that they wanted $25 for the NES stuff alone. Shoot, the system looked like it was in perfect condition, too.
So, I grabbed a couple of the better NES games and offered them $5 for those with the Genesis stuff and Saturn gameshark. "How about $7?" was the reply after a hesitation, but I told them it was the extent of the cash I had on me, and they accepted.
Unfortunately, Phelios was missing the cart. Once again, checking cases, lesson learned, I'm going to stop getting 3 hours of sleep before yardsales.
$5 spent, that's all my cash for today.

Today I spent $30
I found a NES with 15 games and some various other videogame stuff in a bag. I asked what they wanted and the lady said they wanted $2 for the stuff, I said that's cool and grabbed $2 out of my pocket. The lady then said no, Now i want $2 per game....I said I would on ly give $10 for the lot, she said $15 for the games only so i accepted becasue there were several titles i didn't have yet.
Then I drove for 2 hours finding only overpriced or crap games and fought to dirve with old people and Amish parkign in various parts of the road. one old man almost hit me as he pulled from the side of the road by one sale as I was driving by, he stopped me at the next sale and stared cussing at me, I looked him in the eye and said "Sir, I think you should use a turn signal and stop swearing" that ticked him of, and the people at the sale were all laughing at him.
My last 2 sales were ok, I got 7 NES games for $5, and some sweet DVD/CD/Game Shelves that cost $90 at K-mart for $8!!
Sorry, im to busy to list titles or pics today.

Common problem. Dirty connectors.
You can either purchase a new 72 pin connector off ebay (less than 10 bucks), refurb the connector (involves pulling the pins I believe), or just clean the games. You can blow on them, but over time that only makes the problem worse. Use some isopropyl alcohol and q-tips and clean the connectors.
And if you press reset/hit the nes lightly sometimes it'll start to work.

Whats the average percentage of people that actually call back after you leave your number?
willc23

^^
0% for me. I've probably left my number 6-10 times in the last two years. I am hoping that it will change today though. The person that is supposed to call me lives in my neighborhood. Although that doesn't always work. I left my number with a neighbor that perpetually has yard sales, and said she had a ton of games to sell, but not one ring. I even stop by and she just apologizes and says that she hasn't gotten them out, but will get back with me.

I usualy get about 20% callbacks. I would recomend trying to get their number, that always works the best for me, you have a better chance of getting ahold of them, and since you dont knoow them you dont have to worry about ticking them off!!

Ick went to a huge apartment sale early b/c on CL they advertised ps2 stuff. Well there were some crummy pc games, and some overpriced vhs tapes. They did have a ps2 slim for $75 and the guy said make him an offer, but I felt bad lowballing him, so I just left.

Man, you guys are lucky. The past three weeks it has been nothing but GameCube, PS2 and Xbox games with an occasional shitty Genesis game.
I don't know why classic games are so rare here.
Nah, you didn't overpay. Sometimes you've gotta take the deal even if it's really expensive for a garage sale. I recall one sale where I paid $100 for a PS1 and around 30 games.
Why did I do this, you may ask? Well, the PS1 had a modchip in it, and it was an SCPH-1001 (the one with the multi out and additional AV ports at the back, and is popular with audiophiles), also games like Final Fantasy VII ($75 on eBay) and Tomba ($50 on eBay) were in the lot.
I ended up flipping Final Fantasy VII on eBay and making $75, basically leaving me with $25 out-of-pocket expenses for a modded SCPH-1001 PS1 w/ 29 games.
You've just got to evaluate whether it would be worth it to purchase the lot and sell some of the games on eBay in these cases. 'Expensive' looking lots at garage sales that you can't get sellers to budge on are sometimes worth it. If you can make a decent profit on the lot, you're not overpaying.
I got me a PS1 with the multi-out afew weeks ago, Sweet!!
I agree that most prices are worth it, but around here some people are crazy, I have seen several Genesis's with 5-10 games marked at $100.

Funny thing is that the N64 box still has a sticker on it from the store they bought it at, and it's the store that my math teacher used to own!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v400/paddyvaughan/IMG_0730.jpg
$15, not too bad I think.
Edit: There is a N64 in the box, with foam, and everything. There are two controllers, and two memory cards. The grey controller is in PERFECT condition. It brings back memories. Analog stick is crisp, it feels like when I first got my n64.

I have finally had a stroke of luck Saturday and finally got some decent deals!
This was finally a great find... I went to this moving sale and he was already making deals left and right just to get rid of things. I started looking around and noticed a PSOne with all hookups and some games. The box said 10$ so I took the box to him and CIF'ed $5 which was immediatly taken. So I get back to the car and start looking at the games... There were 5 complete games and then I tocked a plastic game sleeve under the playstation itself on he bottom of the box. I pull it out and it is Suikoden! Then I start looking at it in the case and notice that not 1 disc is in this plastic sleeve but 2. I decided to see what the other game was and it was Hoshigama! So Let's recap...
PSOne w/ 2 contrellers + Hookups
1 mem card
Lego Racers (Manual and Disc)
Asteroids (Complete)
Crash Bash (Complete)
Pro Pinball: Big Race USA (Complete)
NBA Shootout 2003 (Complete)
Hoshigama (Disc Only)
Suikoden (Disc Only)
All this for $5. The only game I am missing now is Suikoden V. Maybe I'll stumble across it next weekend.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2580580584/
This was a decent find for a DVD set. I found this sitting all by it's lonesome self...
Malcom in the Middle Season 1
It didn't have the sleave to hold the DVD book but the disks are in good shape. Not bad for $0.50.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2579751107/
I didn't want to spend a lot to get this PS2 game but I decided to that it was worth it. I found:
Silent Hill 2 (Complete GH)
I first tried to CIF $3 and it wasa no go so I went to $4 but still no dice I ended up giving the marked price of $5. Still not bad for this game but I was hoping for less on it.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2579751009/
This was a plesant find. I don't find mana to often at all around here but I did manage to pick this noce little deal up at a sale. I also got some NES sleeves. They had games with them but I didn't need and extra copy of SMB/DH so the lady said I could have the sleeves. I also found a neat FFIII (DS version) game pouch which looks cool. The recap:
Final Fantasy III DS Lite Pouch
4 NES Game Sleeves
DragonBall Z Manga #9
Dragonball Manga # 6
Shonen Jump magazine September 2003
Shonen Jump magazine January 2008
The final price for all these goods you ask? $1.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2580580156/
No real story on this but it was the start of a trend for this yardsale day... After I picked this PC game up, I saw at least 50 different PC games through the course of the day. Definitly a themed day. Regardless, I picked up:
Smart Games Vol 1 (Complete)
It is a great game so I figured it was worth $1
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2580580002/
I saw this amp and couldn't pass it up... This is a Peavey Rage 158 with the TransTube Technology and they are great amps. It was advertised for $8, but I CIF'ed $5 and it was mine.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2580579876/
This was also a nice sale I went to. I immediatly spotted an Intellivision with a few games so I picked up the box. Also after wandering around I found an older D&D module. I went to the front and found that the Intellivision was marked $20 and the D&D was $2. Too much for me usually. I started to haggle with the man running the sale. I finally after a couple minutes got him to $15 for both items which I finally gave in. But out of it I got:
Intellivision Model 1
Math Fun
Golf
Sea Battle
AD&D: Treasures of Tarmin
Q*bert
Space Armada
Royal Dealer
Atlantis
Las Vegas Poker and Blackjack
Night Stalker
Triple Action
Lock N' Chase
Space Battle
Armor Battle
Sharp Shot
Major League Baseball
Auto Racing
NFL Football
Snafu
Carnival
Mission X
Reversi
Pinball
Bump N' Jump
All overlays and Manuals
Dungeons and Dragons Basic Set
All this finally for $15.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2579750499/
As stated at the beginning of my post, finally a decent day. Also I have started a trade list for those interested. I will add it to my sig so just look though and PM me if there is anything you want or have.

Stopped at 3 sales on the way home from the store and got Record of Lodoss war boxed VHS set for $1 Just for reference: http://cgi.ebay.com/Record-of-Lodoss-War-ALL-COLLECTION-VHS-English_W0QQitemZ220244562701QQcmdZViewItem?hash=i tem220244562701&_trkparms=72%3A552%7C39%3A1%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
At another sale asked if they had any video games guy went in his house and brought out a stack and said $2 each (11 games). CIF $10, he said how about $12.
All original versions/complete/mint: Red Faction, Timesplitters 2, Star Wars Battlefront 2, MK Deadly Alliance, MK deception, Midnight CLub, Ace combat 4, half-life, ready 2 rumble round 2, true crime LA, State of emergency. Not all AAA titles, but I wanted TS2, and Red faction, and a non GH version of battlefront 2 anyway.

^Not a bad deal on the DC, are some of those games sealed? or is that just the lighting?
No, just taken near a window. The games are all in really good condition, but it does smell like things came from a smoking household.
What the fuck? No no no! Do not take that logo off the system, what is wrong with you? That is a Sega Sports edition black Dreamcast. They are somewhat uncommon, fetching $50-70 on the 'Bay.
If the logo really bugs you that much you could try putting electrical tape over it or something, but if you try to rub it off or paint over it it probably won't look much better than if you just used the electrical tape, which can be removed without damage to the Dreamcast.
Yeah, it really doesn't look like they do. Besides, I wouldn't eBay this, it's so nice looking... Except for the stupid Sega Sports logo.
Some Googling found me this article, I may give it a shot later.

I found this sitting out in the open at the last sale I went to and was surprised that it was still around at about 8:45 with an IAP of $5. This sale was part of a block sale advertised for Friday & Saturday. On Friday I stopped by the block sale to see that it was a total of 1 sale. I asked the people running the sale about the other sales and they said a few people backed out but that the lady across the street would be up tomarrow. I'm thinking that most people hit up the "block sale" Friday and the Saturday only sale missed a lot of traffic not being up Friday and that this NES would have went in 5 minutes tops if it was out Friday. The games are in good shape seeing as everything was in this nice plastic storage case. About half of the games had dust covers (12) and Nobunaga's Ambition even came with 2 books, one that looks to be some story/history from before the game's start.

There's one that's been advertised for this Saturday on craigslist, in Beverly Hills, that has me really hyped up. But I'm seriously worried about competition and the actual stuff there being grossly disappointing and/or overpriced. Listing mentions Super Nintendo, NES, Genesis, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast. Lots of other stuff.
I emailed the guy to see if I could see the games early, but no go. No early birds. Ah well, wish me luck!

I don't think so, but the DS ones tend to be $7-10 apiece. Most of them fall into the $5-10 range in general; I'd want them just for collecting purposes.

Today was a pretty eventful day, the first day of our citywide yard sale. Tomorrow is the official yard sale day so I hope to find even more. But here's what I got today:
http://abharrie.misterdotnet.com/images/ys09.jpg
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo - $1
I got to a sale just as it was opening, they didn't have everything set up so I looked around and saw this sitting by itself. I asked if they had anything else but they said they didn't. Offered $1 and they took it...I know I could've gone lower, but I didn't have it yet.
http://abharrie.misterdotnet.com/images/ys03.jpg
Mario and Fox bobbleheads - 50 cents
My fiancee found these at a yard sale and grabbed them for me
http://abharrie.misterdotnet.com/images/ys07.jpg
Cart only NES games:
Low G Man
Strider
Rush n Attack
T & C Surf Design
Black Bass
Dragon Warrior
Castlevania II
Mega Man 2
Bayou Billy
total - $4
These were literally 3 house down from mine, my fiancee saw them as she was putting the sign up for our sale and grabbed them
http://abharrie.misterdotnet.com/images/ys05.jpg
Twisted Metal - Complete
Crash Bandicoot - Disc only
Total -$2
Found at a random sale, no real story
http://abharrie.misterdotnet.com/images/ys06.jpg
Metal Gear Solid - Complete
Metal Gear VR Missions
Total - 50 cents
My fiancee found this at a sale, she didn't realize the VR missions were in the case. It was tagged 50 cents so she grabbed it even though we already had it. The same sale had a boxed SNES for $50 and a few games for $10 each...I didn't even try for these...
http://abharrie.misterdotnet.com/images/ys08.jpg
Fat Game Boy - $3
My fiancee found this for me too, marked 3, she paid 3. I didn't have one yet so I was fine with that. It seems to work fine, but I don't have any original games to test.
http://abharrie.misterdotnet.com/images/ys04.jpg
This one is an odd story. I found 4 Wheel Thunder marked 10 cents in a crate full of disney movies so I bought it. I then realized that inside the case was Crazy Taxi instead of 4 Wheel Thunder (which was fine with me) Then at a completely different sale across town, I found an empty Crazy Taxi case which they gave me for free.
Total - 10 cents
http://abharrie.misterdotnet.com/images/ys02.jpg
Game Gear with 4 games
Shinobi II
Ariel the Little Mermaid
Surf Ninjas
Incredible Crash Test Dummies
a few Star Wars books
found these at a sale that wasn't quite set up yet, she didn't have anything priced so she said to make an offer. I offered 5 for the whole lot and she accepted with no hesitation...and I thought I was lowballing...
http://abharrie.misterdotnet.com/images/ys01.jpg
N64 with 3 controllers and 2 games
Mario Kart 64 with instructions and how to play insert
Diddy Kong Racing with instructions and how to play insert
and there was a Star Fox 64 manual in there too
Saw these sitting on a table marked $15, offered 5, she came back with 10, I came back with 7 and she accepted. The controllers like new, and the only game I didn't have here was Diddy Kong Racing.
All in all a good day considering we also made about $160 at our yard sale.

There aren't as many yard sales in my area as they were last year; the weather was horrible this morning but I think it'll clear up.

So, how much cash do you guys take with you when you go out yard sale shopping?
I'm so used to using my debit card that I rarely carry much cash on me at all.
I usually bring 140. I only keep 40 on me though and the other I lock in my glove box so I don't look in my wallet and see a bunch of money and buy things I don't need.
5 twenties and 8 fives oh and a hand full of quarter out of my change jar. Usually around 5 bucks worth.
This morning I picked up God of War and a legacy of Kain game for PS2 for a quarter each. The sale started at 7 and I made it there at 9. Don't see how anyone walked past them but w/e.
Picked up an old cingular blackberry 7100 for 3 bucks. I've got a pearl and a curve. Might try this one out for a day when I'm bored. It works but hopefully not stolen. Oh well only 3 bucks.

Today was crap, a factory in town laid off 300 workers 2 weeks ago, and they literaly cleaned out all the sales on friday. I did manage to get a Monty Python Live DVD set and the Osbornes season 1 from a 7 yr/old lady. I will proably use the Osbournes as trade bait.
The only games I saw were some a guy brought out, all PS2 kids stuff.

Today, I managed to get a little bit, but not much.
$2.50
Shinning Force II (box is a little crushed, but has manual and game)
Phanasty Star III (includes case, manual, and game.)
Rings of Power (game, case, and manual)
Might and Magic (game , case, and manual)
Golden Axe II (game , case, and manual)
This all from a massive church sale. I wasn't expecting it to be as big as it was.
$4.99
MGS (complete black label copy)
Picked this up at pawn shop I visited between sales.

Got two Psx games, 007 The World Is Not Enough and Spec Ops: Covert Assault for 3 bucks at one sale.
Then a slightly yellowed SNES with A Link To The Past, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, a wrestling game, and all the hookups, and Pokemon Pinball (it was in the bag) for $5. Not bad considering I didn't have all three of those games, and I have some SNES games to throw in for an e-bay bundle.

Today was terrible. I didn't get out until a little after 9 (and most of the sales didn't start until 9 or 10 anyway) and just got in a little while ago -- practically everyone looked at me like I had five heads and one of those heads was phallus-shaped and on the end of a tentacle whenever I asked for video games, and a lot of plain rudeness accompanied the bewilderment.
I passed on a $10 360 controller and $10 Spiderman 3 (because those were $60 each according to the crabby bitch at the sale...she got ripped off on both counts, imho), and there was exactly one instance where they had games but sold them.
Nothing really noteworthy...
Beverly Hills Cop 2
Austin Powers
Both on widescreen DVD, sealed, $2
Jungle Book 2 DVD
$1 - can't say no to Disney DVDs
Metroid Prime (GC)
Roadkill (GC)
GameBoy classic with case, Adventure Island, SML2: 6 Golden Coins, and Tetris
TOTAL $5
Marked $2, $2, and $5, CIF'ed $5 for everything. Its all mint, the cube games are complete. They also had some second-string games, and, in retrospective, I probably should have grabbed everything and just offered $10, but I didn't realize today would be so dry.
Sega Genesis (Model 1) with hookups and controllers
Sonic The Hedgehog
Aladdin
Ariel - The Little Mermaid
Quackshot
Jurassic Park
Mortal Kombat (cart only)
Mortal Kombat 3 (cart only)
TOTAL: $5
The Genesis was stickered at $8 and $2 a game, but I picked up the games and CIF'ed $5 for the console and games. He hesitated then accepted.
Yoshi's Island DS
TOTAL $5
Only thing at an "apartment complex wide" sale...with only like fiveout of a hundred families participating. I asked about games and a kid came out with his DS stuff, and the mother kept going on about how expensive they were. This was the only one that I actually wanted, and figured $5 was fair, since its complete and mint.
I was hoping to find some more cool stuff to bring to the con next week, but I can't really complain after the last couple of weeks. =)

Could someone tell me what would be the best way of cleaning the cartridge without damaging the Labels???

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. By far the best for cleaning all your carts, controllers, consoles, and are the safest for labels. Just a general tip: never rub too hard over the labels, no matter what cleaning device you are using. I've never had a problem with the Magic Erasers, but always take extra precaution.

Not a whole lot today, but some good stuff.
Got a few common NES games for 50 cents each, 9 total, 8 I didn't have, nothing special at all.
The highlight find of the day was this

That Beverly Hills Yard Sale this morning a couple blocks over from me was...pretty good. I spent a LOT more than I wanted to, but here is what I got. I will take pics later.
I didn't even realize that the city is so anal about having to get a permit in order to have a freaking yard sale. The people throwing it had to get a freaking permit and post it on the palm tree out front. I got there at 8:30 for the sale posted to begin at 9 am, and by the time 9 am rolled around we were lined up 25+ at the entrance gate.
Here is what one of the craigslist ads for the sale said (this must have been updated late yesterday, because the last I checked it still only had "various video games included Super Nintendo, Ps1, PS2, Dreamcast Sega" listed, not the actual games. I was very worried it would be a bust, but it turned out quite good:

I think there is some other stuff, but I'm in a hurry so I will check out the 2 boxes I filled with this loot later to see what else. At least a couple of other games.
CiF'd one of the 2 teenage daughters working the sale $40 (2 twenties) for my pile of goods. I should have brought smaller bills to make it look like a lot more money, one mistake I made. They came back with $60, we settled at $50.
I don't think I did too bad, considering that includes a working PS2, a working GC, and a working SNES (tested these first thing when I got home), and some very good games a couple of which I have been looking for. I was very worried the sale would be a dud, or they would be asking too much for their stuff. I really wanted to get the American Girl stuff for my baby daughter, but by the time I pulled the video games, that stuff was LOOOOOOOONG gone. There was a lot of other stuff I wanted to check, but I figured I did all right, and I asked the daughters and the dad if they had any more games, they said they would check and get back to me since they already had my email (I contacted them before the sale, earlier in the week).
The FF3 cart was a very pleasant surprise, as was Grandia 2 (sad about the missing music CD) and Parasite Eve, because from outside while waiting for the sale, I could see the XBox and Gamecube cases. And We Love Katamari, man I was stoked to pick that up, complete and mint. The games are overall in excellent condition, most discs are flawless.
I'll get pics as soon as I can.

Today sucked, I picked up some CDs and some other junk not worth even posting about. One yard sale I left pretty angry at (because I get angry when people overprice shit I want). They had a complete boxed Atari 2600, a loose Atari Mini and maybe 30 games or so and wanted 40 bucks for all of it. I CIF'd 20 and she practically laughed in my face saying that there was no way she'd go below 40.
I was temped to go back at the end of the day, when it was obviously still sitting there, and offer her 20 again.
EDIT:
Also, some guy had an Atari Lynx with approximately 10 games and a "handmade case". Yes, he actually made a wooden case that looks like something you'd find in an over exaggerated 80's movie, had a cherry wood-grain finish, ha! Anyway, he originally wanted a staggering 100.00 for it, which is insane even by ebay standards. I offered 30 for it, which I felt was well over what I'd normally pay, but I really wanted to show you guys this insane case he made. Eventually we haggled and I settled at 40 being the max I was willing to spend, and 50 being the lowest he'd go, even though 50 was "busting his balls". I couldn't imagine myself spending 50 on it so on it stays with the guy who told me about the time he went to the beach last year with a portable record playing and blasted RATT's Round and Round and then proceeded to sing it and play the air guitar while he mouthed solo riffs. This guy had to be 25 years old, tops, I was incredible embarassed for him.

Not a great day for game stuff today, but at least I built up my NES collection a good amount. I did find lots of computer stuff, though, so I'm happy. Hit up a bunch of sales and just found a few things, took a lunch break and checked out a game store and grabbed Monster Party (been looking for it forever), then more sales, more computer stuff, and finally the last NES bundle at a sale that looked like it would be all kids toys.
The only interesting story today was at one sale I asked for games, and they said they had an Atari. I'm not usually to interested, but after seeing the random Pepsi Invaders find a few weeks ago, I figured why not. A few minutes later, and he brought back an incredibly dusty NES and asked for $25. So if you're like me and usually say you're not interested in Atari stuff, you may be surprised by what people think an Atari is.

They're safe on NES labels, but watch out on N64 labels! I tried getting some grit off a Mario Party 2 cart and I ended up giving Mario a smudge for a nose.

Prices and summary of a pretty successful day (http://www.gamehoarders.com/2008/06/21/yard-sale-finds-62108-nes-gamecube-250-gig-hard-drive/)
Cmosfm-- Your story DEFINITELY reminds me of many uncomfortable yard sale moments in recent weeks.
Does anyone else here get sellers who are a little TOO pushy, as in, trying to sell you stuff you clearly don't want?
A few weeks ago, we were in one of the trashier parts of my small town. I pull up, there's a young woman sitting in a plastic chair on the back porch, smoking a cig, in an oversized dirty shirt. Her kid's running around half nekkid. The boyfriend or whoever comes out, shirtless of course (a shirt would be overdressed for your own yard sale, y'know) with tattoos all over. He takes ONE look at me and says "Hold on, I got some speakers I wanna sell ya."
Huh?? Do I look like I need speakers? I'm pretty white and nerdy and maybe a little preppy by my town's standards.
So he gets in his car to turn it around just so he can show me his sweet woofers. At this point, I walk quickly back to my car and CTRL+ALT+ESCAPE. Good lord that was awkward.
And then today, another lady starts giving me a laundry list of what she's got inside. "Do you need interior doors??" Ummm........ no, thanks. "A bathroom sink?" Nope, sorry. "Here, I got clothes racks, three of em, and they roll around." Ooohkay, leaving now.
They're safe on NES labels, but watch out on N64 labels! I tried getting some grit off a Mario Party 2 cart and I ended up giving Mario a smudge for a nose.True. *generally* Magic erasers are better on glossy than matte surfaces, I find. NES labels, OK, N64 labels, use much caution. Also, they generally work great on glossy Gamecube disc labels, but can damage matte type PS2 disc labels if you're not careful. Always remember that it's a mild abraisive and you can always go gently and do a "little more" but you can never "put back."
One more tip that I remembered today while cleaning my new NES..... be careful around the red NES logo with a magic eraser! It WILL come off if you're too harsh. Luckily I remembered that before I did any damage.

Do you guys dampen it or use the eraser dry? (I wet it a little) I was impressed it takes off permanent marker off of the cart and off of labels without damaging them. It seems to only work well on textured items, not on smooth ones like a genisis. The wiki needs to be updated with the best ways to clean each console.

Yea, this is what I generally do. I also try to find a large concentration of sales, park, and walk between them. It does slow me down some, but I save on gas and get some exercise.

That Metal Gear Solid game is worth quite a bit, especially right now with MGS4. NICE score.

So I went out this morning and seen a sign for a church sale. It was the second day or so I went there after I got breakfast just to see if they had anything. Found a game.com with three games. Wheel of Fortune, Resident Evil 2, and frogger. They wanted 10, wouldn't budge on the price because they said it was 20 yesterday. Walked away and got to the car and thought about it and went back and got it. Didn't know much about game.com so thought I'd give it a shot. Checked online looked like a saved a few bucks than ebay. Got home and played Resident Evil 2 for a bit, realized its a pile of ****. Oh well I'm sure I'll at least have some fun with wheel of fortune.

Didn't go out this weekend but I did manage to sneak in some sales fiday before my wife and I went on a mini-vacation for the weekend.
I stumbled across this saleafter driving by it 3 times. It turns out the sale was in the guy's fenced in backyard. Anyway, I show up and look and immediatly spot a box of NES games. Upon closer inspection I saw that most were sports titles... Woo... I did pick up some decent titles for trade in or my tradelist. I picked up:
Donkey Kong 3
Gremlins 2
Super Mario Bros. 3
Legend of Zelda
Super C
I gave a cool $5 for these at a dollar each. I tried to CIF $3 but no luck...
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2602362614/
I picked this up at the first sale I went to. This was a nice start to the day. I picked up:
Yellow GBC
GBC Carry Case
GBC Worm Light
Tomb Raider (GBC, Not Pictured)
I saw the Game Boy had a $5 sticker on it and the case had a $0.50 on it. I CIF'ed $3 for the lot and took it home.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2601534577/
I saw that this was another of hte forgotten realms series style of games. I looked through it and it is missing the first disk but has 3 other disks containing all the forgotten realms games on the other disks. So I CIF'ed $1 and it was taken with no problem.

This was an interesting find. I was driving home and saw this sale on the way so I naturally pulled in. I found the following after looking around fora bit:
Mario McDonald's Toy
Green Day International Superhits CD
Animaniacs Ten Pin Alley (PS)
Blue's Clues: Blue's Big Musical (PS, Sealed)
After thinking about it, I CIF'ed $3 and after a couple big sighs, she reluctantly took it.

I went to this sale on my way to another later in the day after work and found this on the table:
DragonBall Z Bodaki 3
I CIF'ed $2 and after a couple seconds he took it.

The one thing I don't understand is why people tend to act all offended because you offer them lower than their asking price for their stuff...and then take it like they desperately need the 2 or 3 bucks anyway.

Epic week for me! I will only list the games stuff, but I did get about $600 (conservatively graded) worth of comics for $38. A lot of Dell Giants from the 1940s-1950s range, Ult. Spiderman 2 (for .25), some nice spiderman promo books, etc. On to the games...

^^^Yeah, I went in a GS for penny guides and noticed it was $25 or something there. I am not sure, but I think the best games I got are:
SNES Mario RPG, SNES Gaia
N64 Yoshi's story, Majora's mask gold/lenticular (collector's edition), Super Smash Bros, Mario Party,M. golf ,M. tennis.
I basically got every Mario/Yoshi/Kirby/DKong game. Are any gameboy games worth anything?
Sorry the pics are so bad...I found the lots I forgot and the big lot in a different area then I normally garage sale. I think I may continue to GS there rather than my hometown.

Some are. I know that is a cop out answer but the titles you have are pretty decent. The DX version of Zelda is better that the one you have butthe donkey kong lands I've seen for between $5 - $10. Still everything together was stellar deal. Also I noticed that you got Tails Adventure. That game fetches a decent price for a game gear game as well.

Stopped by one this morning, first Thursday sale ever BTW, that advertised Nintendo system, games and carrier. Had a N64 and 13 games and a humongous plastic box that was the "carrying case". Over half the games were old sports games and the remaining were nondescript, excluding Diddy Kong Racing and Goldeneye. Asking price $125. I have a sneaky suspicion that it will still be there Saturday afternoon when they are packing everything back up that does not sell.

Only hit 3 sales today in my new search area...didn't need to hit anymore since I am happy with my finds!
I got to this sale 30 minutes early since their signs were already up (code here is you are open once your signs are up). They advertised Genesis, Playstation , and the gameboy. As soon as I saw the sega CD and the amount of games I knew I would buy them. 3 people came up while I was looking it over and I said "I am taking this" So I lost the option to CIF, but I looked at the gameboy SP and figured it was worth $10 for it. I then found the Pokémon silver game that I thought was somewhat hard to find so ??I CIFed $40 for the sega CD and all of her gameboy stuff. (The gameboy games were marked $1 each) I was going to buy the system and a couple of games anyway so I only paid a couple of bucks more for the rest of the lot.
I left the PS1 mini and 10 games since she wanted $40 and they were crap sports games.
Note this is the first time I have ever seen the menacer gun. Oh I saw the 32x games and asked if she had one and she said she didn't bring it because it is broken. I asked if I could have it and she said she threw it out and I could get it, but she said she thinks it may have been thrown out with kitchen garbage, so I said forget it.

Magic Carpet Plus (PC) (Complete)
Road Rash With Instructions (PC)
$1
Found this marked a $1 for both with initials by the price so I didn't even think it was worth the trouble of trying to haggle and the price was reasonable as it was I though. Road Rash came with a poster which I'm pretty sure is the instuctions.
Battletoads With Instructions & Generic Case
Metroid II With Case
$4
This is a good example of the kind of people I (or I should say everyone) hate(s) dealing with at yardsales. Found a small plastic bin with a Gameboy Color marked $5 and about 20 some Gameboy, Gameboy Color games each marked $3 with initials on each. I didn't think it was going to work but I picked up the whole thing and offered $10 which was refused. Lady pretty much replied saying that if they don't sell (and wouldn't let it for cheapish like I offered) that her son was just going to give them away to a friend instead to which I said he wasen't going to make a lot of money doing so :) She basicly said that the friend was poor (for a lack of a more polite way of putting it) and tried telling me that these games are still $20 in stores to which I disagreed and said that she must be getting them confused with GBA or NDS games. I then offered a buck a game for a few of them to which she said she'd meet me half way at $2 and I just grabbed 2. I left behind a few good ones Zelda DX, Tetris and I think Pokemon Yellow and Blue. I actually went back to this sale just before 10 AM since I decided I should have grabbed Zelda DX at $2 when I noticed my copy had some label damage and figured I should also grab the Pokemon games only to see that all of the Gameboy stuff was gone. I figured that either some old lady picked everything up for about $20-30 for a youngster in the family or they just brought the stuff inside if it wasen't selling and only getting lower then wanted offers, hopefully to give to the kid's friends if that wasen't a lie.

Got to this sale at about 8:45 and was kind of surprised that this stuff was still around as this sale started at 7. I rarely if ever find anything 16-bit or older at yardsales without a system so the games were probably having a harder time selling then they should have not having a system with them. Haggled a little bit and ended up at 7.50 for everything but the Madden games that I left behind. Has I was leaving I said I didn't grab them as I figured I'd never play them but asked if they wanted to get rid of the 3 Madden games left behind which the guy said I could also take them for another .25. I didn't even notice a sign hanging down on table that said .50 a game as the games were piled up at the one corner and the sign was over on the corner across from the games. Looking at some of these manuals makes me wonder if they had more games especially some of these SNES games for sale that might have sold earlier such as Mario Kart, World, All*Stars and the DKC games but it's hard to imagine somebody buying games like those but leaving behind Yoshi's Island wich was right on top in the open. This is actually the first time I've seen Yoshi's Island and Mega Man in the wild in years and I was happy to get the Mega Man manuals as I didn't have any of the NES Mega Man manuals in my collection and not to mention that the original Mega Man is my favorite Mega Man game, probably partly nostagia as I had it when it first came out years ago.
It should also be noted that the guy and girl running this sale were younger probably about 25-30 and I seem to have better luck most of the time at yardsales with younger people over soccer moms (like the lady with the GameBoy stuff today) selling junior's stuff as they seem to be the ones trying usually to make some money around my area and not just hoping to get rid of stuff that's never used.
non find BS stories
The lady running a sale on Friday told me that her husband had a Sega Saturn and a few games he was selling for $10 when I asked about video games. She didn't know where they were and didn't offer to look for them but instead asked me to come back tomarrow (Saturday). I got to the sale about 5 minutes before 8 and they had noticably less stuff out then they did on Friday so I figured they might still be setting up and I'd give it a few minutes. I walked around the corner to another sale then came back only to be told that her husband just sold the system. I though it was kind of rude as she probably could have held it for me for at least a half hour to an hour since I showed interest in it the day before and bothered to come back to their sale. I do kind of wonder if they changed their mind about selling it at their yardsale and told me a little white lie about selling it.
I asked about video games at one sale and the 50 something lady told me that she had an NES system with games that she wanted to get rid of but didn't bring it with her as she didn't know what it was worth and before I could politely ask doing the number thing she said that she was planning on starting an eBay store so I figured no reason to even bother trying to make an offter on it as this kind of person will probably be scared to let it go not knowing what it's worth even if I made a reasonable offter considering the trouble she'd be saving compared to selling something like this online. She also said that she had an Atari around. I can't help but wonder if this is what people I leave my number with think and never call back as they decide that an old system they never use and don't want might be worth so much and they don't want to part with it for anything less then that ball park figure. I haven't seen the Genesis from last week on eBay so I think that some of these people that have an old system they wouldn't mind selling don't want to let it go too cheap yet they are too lazy to ever get around to all of the work it takes to sell it online so they end up just keeping it :D

That's it for now, but I do have to take some pics of my 'big lot'...
I actually couldn't get rid of the extra 200 copies of Ultimate Spider-Man #2 we had when it came out...they collected dust in the 3/$1 bin for 2 years before being moved into storage. Another year later we moved them out of storage and charged like $15 each for em. Go figure comic nerds. In a few years, the Ultimate series will be cancelled and the back issues worthless...as soon as Bendis and the other big names leave Marvel.
But those Dell Giants will hold their value and only go up in price. Personally, I only collect vintage comics, mainly from the 30s to the 50s. I read the modern stuff, but it isn't worth the paper it's printed on in the long run. I trade it off while it's hot for the vintage stuff. I actually got some nice silver age X-Men comics years ago for Zen Intergalactic Ninja #1 when it was a hot book...found my copy in a 25 cent bin, which is probably where it is today. Then there were all those Valiant comics that I traded for silver age Marvels before they dropped back to reality. Oh, those silly 90's speculators. Gotta love 'em.

I actually charge $5 each at my garage sales for cart-only Gameboy games and I've sold quite a few at that price since I don't usually have crappy games. It's about the same price I get per game on Ebay without the fees and hassle of Ebay. Any less than that, and I just throw them on Ebay. It doesn't surprise me that their games sold at $3 a pop.
It's funny, I would never pay more than $1 for a Gameboy game at a garage sale unless it was some amazingly rare game that I had to have, yet my philosophy changes when it comes to selling games.

Most of the games I didn't mention like Men In Black for the GameBoy Color surely are complete poop and a waste of time to play even when they came out and would be hard enough to sell on eBay for $5ish shipped :D
What are some games you sold for $5 at your yardsale? Or at least the best & worst game you remember selling at $5?
I've noticed especially from this thread that's it's regional with how much and how fast games sell for at yardsales but I'd be surprised if this GB/GBC stuff I saw last week sold all in one shot at 2-3 per a game.....yet you never know if the right person walked up it might be a deal in their eyes thinking that these things are 20+ dollars in stores like the seller though lol
I sold some 3rd party Star Wars controllers for the PS2 for $5 a pop a few years ago holding a yardsale fairly easy yet couldn't sell a new copy of Feel The Magic for 7 or 8 dollars, probably not too many people that owned or knew somebody in the family with a DS that visited the sale that day though.
I don't think having a yardsale around here with the idea of selling stuff for what it's "worth" to you (you being the owner of the stuff) or on ebay works in smaller areas like where I live. I see stuff that is considered collectiable fairly often at yardsales for what seems like collector's value type prices and I always think that these people will be lucky to sell any of it and realistically will only sell 1-3 things at best if the right person shows up. A good example is when I saw a table full of Hess Truck collectables and noticed some of them marked at prices like $20. I also tend to see Nascar collectables from time to time around here with the same idea of selling at collector's prices right on the front lawn :)

Also, some unsuccessful sales.
Some lady had Driv3r and some other racing game on the table. I CIF'd $3 for both and she got super offended, saying how Driv3r goes for $60 new. I was like, "No PS2 games ever costed $60 new. They were 20-50, and walked away.
I saw a PS2 slim in good condition, with a $25 price tag. CIF'd 15 and the guy said ok, but when I asked to test it, he started saying just buy it, I'm busy, and I figured it was broken and left.
Its so funny seeing people like who I got the SNES from be so surprised that I want old games. They were selling one XBOX shooter for double the price of the SNES + 9 games. XD

I disagree, this comic's value is based on scarcity, more than talent. (look at Sam and Twitch -written by bendis and it predates ult. spider-man, which are still worth cover price) When the Ultimate titles were released comic sales were at an all time low and so were the print runs after the 90s crash. The first 5 issues or so will always be worth something (not worthless) due to a smaller print run.
If you have a store or worked at one, you should know that issue number 2 is probably going to be worth the same (more/slightly less) than issue number 1 since it tends to have a drastically smaller print run for most series.
I actually have not read a new comic for years. I mainly buy high grade bronze age or older Superhero books. I agree that new comics are not worth it.

Today was a pretty good day for yard sales. I finally got a cheap SNES bundle. For 5 bucks I got:
SNES top loader with hookup and 1 controller
Earthworm Jim cart+manual
Donkey Kong Country Cart only
Donkey Kong Country 3 cart only
Jungle Strike cart only
Road Runner's Death Valley Ralley cart only
Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing cart only
Total Carnage cart only
Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball cart only
Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball cart only
Super Mario World just the manual
Super Mario Kart just the manual
The only problem is the SNES doesn't work. Whenever I turn it on on channel 3 it just goes black, and channel 1 just blinks and then goes back to white noise. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks. ^_^
I'm assuming you mean the channels on a tv and not something else. Did the console come with only an RF switch because if you're getting a black screen on channel 3, the rf may be set to channel 4. Those were typically the two channels most consoles used when we used RF switches. So, if channel 3 doesn't work, try channel 4.
I did alright, haven't found much since my NES find from a few weeks ago (look back in posts for it)
We went at around noon today for a sale that started yesterday and figured it was going to a be a bust. Heck we almost didn't stop since it was hard to tell if they were having the sale or not. I saw a box with NES stuff in it.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3075/2619260316_cbac51b4d8_b.jpg
We picked up:
Super Mario Bros. 3
Ninja Gaiden II
Mario/Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet
Skate or Die
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Wizards and Warriors
NES Advantage Controller x 2
Light Gun
Trackpad
2 NES Controllers
Working NES with Power cord but not video cable
for $10
Then we stopped by a small town carnival and there was a Library having a $1 sale with all the books you can fit in a bag for $1. Amazing how my hardcovers fit.

Well I started late today but I found some items from yesterday and today so I'll just put them on here.
I found this at a Wednesday sale which is a little odd to begin with. But for $2 I picked up Resident Evil: Director's Cut. Nice looking game.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2617685841/
I came to this sale ass they advertised playstation games but was severly dissappointed when Playstation Games mean one cheesy sports game. I did manage to get a large lot of pokemon cards though. I got them for the use of the e-reader cards that are with them as well. I also found that I got a rare Suicune EX card as well. All for $1.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2618511592/
I found this game gear at a yard sale that was kinda out of the way. I got there and immediately saw this. I picked it up and this is what was with it:
Sega Game Gear System
Dunald Duck's Deep Duck Trouble
Sonic the Hedgehog
Jurrasic Park
I gave the lady a whopping $5 for this and left. No other story here.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2618513474/
Nothing Major. I found Soul Blade at a pawn shop for Playstation. It was disc only for $3. Nothin' fancy.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2618429511/
I pulled up to this sale and was a little upset as I started my day late... I found this PSOne with Bushido Blade inside it. I noticed it was marked $10 si I CIF'ed $5 since it didn't have the power or A/V, but the power cable was found while we were negotiating. I did finally pick it up for $7 though and I didn't have Bushido Blade.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2618431497/
This was a nice find at an unadvertised sale. I unfortunatly got there at 1 and he said theat it was started at 9. That disappointed me... However, I did manage to get a couple good items. I picked up:
NES Sattellite
Warsong (Genesis)
I gave a $4 and walked off a happy man.

Bleh, nothing even worth a picture this week. Bomberman Party Edition and Digimon World 3 for PS1 for $5, and Double Dribble, TMNT 2, and Zelda 2 for NES for $2. That's it. The list of what I was told I missed out on includes two big NES collections, and a Sega CD. I did leave an e-mail address with a guy who said he had lots of NES and PS1 he wanted to be rid of, but it was all in a box somewhere and would take him a while to find it. Hopefully he comes through.
I did almost have a great PS1 score, but my god, I have never met anyone so unwilling to make a sale. I arrived around 10 or 10:30 and she had plenty out, but was still unpacking some things in the garage. I asked to look in the garage a bit, since I spotted a huge box of CDs and some Genesis games with boxes. She let me go have a look, and I found Sonic 2, Aladdin, and some others, and found some PS1 games in the box, including Star Ocean Second Story. But none had discs inside. I asked if she knew where the games were and she got quite flustered, and told me she had them somewhere but had no interest in finding them. She said they were in some nearby storage tubs and pointed to them. I walked over and asked to look inside, but got a very stern NO. I spotted a box of PS2 games right next to the tubs, saw some RPGs (Xenosaga, FFX-2, etc), but she ran over, opened one in my face, and said "They're all empty, see! They're all in the boxes!" But no, I couldn't see inside the boxes. I pondered buying what I had found already, but I was pretty pissed off. Nothing I tried to persuade her had worked. I assured her I would buy lots of what I had seen the cases for, she just did not care, she wasn't going to open the boxes for me. It did come up at the end that the boxes weren't hers, they belonged to a friend who had asked her to sell some things, which at least explained why she wasn't interested in my money, but didn't really explain her overprotectiveness of the boxes. Argh.
I also met some competition today. He said he's registered here, but never posts. I told him to come to the thread, so perhaps he will. Hey, guy I met near Ridge Rd. in Greece! I hope you had a better day than I did!

In order for a Genesis to work it has to have either an antenna or cable wire going into the RF adapter. I have never tried a dummy connection (just a coaxial connector without a coaxial cable connected), but it may work as well. If you have old 'rabbit ears' plug them into the rf adapter and see if that fixes it.

Edit: Now that I think about it, maybe it isn't such a bad idea. You don't have to worry about unplugging and plugging in your coax to switch back and forth between tv and game. Just hit the power and viola. Once I again I prove I am not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Not a whole any game finds for me this weekend. I didn't even see any at all. I wasted my satuday though because some Ahole 15 minutes out of the way of any other yard sales posted in the add "dvds cheap" Went there first and he wanted 5 dollars per dvd and 20 for seasons. He had a crap ton too and had a sign that said negotiable. He was basically running a store from his front yard. He also had a bunch of action figures that he wanted more than they were going on ebay for. Looks like he bought the dvds in bulk because he had multiple copies of most of them. I wanted to punch him in the face for wasting my time.
I did manage to get some DVDs at other sales, the first two lord of the rings movies and the freshman for a quarter each. Then found a yard sale with a bunch of build a bear stuff for a dollar each. Got batman, superman, spiderman, supergirl pajamas, buzzlightyear, some wizard of oz. Anyways spent 10 on ten outfits. Usually when I find build a bear stuff at yard sale the people want 5-10+ for the stuff.

It's almost unbelievable that someone here on CAG found Pepsi Invaders. 125 copies were made. I was reading the top 20 holy grail games of all time, and Pepsi Invaders was ranked number 4. Also I recommend CAGs read this article, never know if it turns up in your yardsaling. http://www.racketboy.com/retro/2006/10/holy-grails-of-console-game-collecting-2.html
4.) Pepsi Invaders
(Atari 2600; NTSC-U)
Copies Produced: 125
Estimated Price: $1200+ (Complete) Pepsi Invaders (http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html?SoftwareID=2278) is quite a unique game with a unique story behind it. The legend of Pepsi Invaders begins in the early 80’s, the waning days of the Atari 2600. Around this time,
Coca Cola held a employee get-together of sorts with the higher-ups to celebrate a victory against their competitor, Pepsi. So naturally, they made an Atari game to re-imagine the sales figures.
Originally called “Coke Wins”, this title was a Space Invaders-themed shooter that had the player fending off the enemy, in this instance, Pepsi. Following your victory, the game emphatically displays the bold message of “Coke Wins”.
Coming without proper packaging, a true label, or any hint of information, this grail’s victory message was used as its title until a few years ago, when the original developer identified his weird little creation as “Pepsi Invaders”.
Legend has it that only 125 copies of this game were given out, however it wasn’t necessarily game-lovers who received them, so far fewer are likely to still exist. (I’m not sure that many Coke executives bothered to keep a game cartridge around).
As a strange game with an even stranger origin, it is naturally an interest for hardcore fans of obscure and quirky games, not to mention for serious collectors. As a feasibly acquirable game, Pepsi Invaders can perhaps be called the Holy Grail of the Atari 2600.
(Beware of the reproduction cartridges flooding eBay for $50, which are simply independent re-releases created using the dumped ROM, and worth nowhere near as much as the original.)

Glad it worked. I had forgotten about that until I got a couple of Genesis systems recently and they had the black screen. I tried my old one and it had the same problem and then I remembered the "antenna in" port on the RF had to be filled.
I don't want to blow your mind, BUT you can hook up a coaxial to a SNES/NES RF adapter, connect that to the Genesis RF adapter, then to your TV. Then you can have a NES,SNES,Genesis, cable all on the same TV using only RF adapters. (some people use RCA jacks for their SNES/NES.) :)

That's interesting. I thought the DC was two, but it's the PS1 version I'm thinking of. Wonder what's different.
And both Evil Dead games on the Xbox were good -- the most recent one was the more entertaining of the two, but they're both worth playing.

i'm almost fanatical about the movies, so maybe i'm just expecting too much. the one i played was a huge disappointment. a lot of the humor was just really heavy-handed.

I *am* fanatical, right down to the movie props in my garage. Regardless, you have to take it with a grain of salt. They're still really fun.

Genesis 32X / SNES plus mixed game lot contollers wires etc. not shown- $15. Asked for games at this sale and the woman ran in and got her son . He asked what I was looking for and I ran the gambit. He said he had a bin of stuff that some guy was supposed to come back for an hour ago. I said to him "yeh I heard that story before" then he kinda nodded his head and said "Do you wanna take a look" upon initial inspection I saw the dirty SNES, as I sifted throught the bin I saw the 32 X and the PS1 games - not noticing the little gem pictured below. I asked how much for the lot and he started BS'ing me that the other guy was gonna give him $35. I countered with $10 CIF pointing out the grody SNES and some of the beat up genesis carts, he countered with $20, so I dug a little deeper in the bin and eyed the Gunstar heros which unfortunately has a peeling label and countered with $15 which he accepted. When I got home and unpacked it all I found this

Several years ago I came across a guy selling complete 32X games in very mint condition for $10 each. Not having a 32x at the time I passed but went home and looked up the prices of some of the games and yes there was a complete WOF. I immediately went back and saw the box of games unfortuntely WOF and several others were gone. I've been waiting patiently to come across one again. As luck would have it my patience paid off. She never remembers me so i CIF just to make her mad. her relpy is always "This is worth almost $1000, I could easily sell it on Ebay....sorry lady, you'd be lucky to get $10 on ebay.

Very few sales listed this weekend. I think I may hit a fleamarket instead. I only hit a couple last week because of the chicago comiccon. I saw an N64 with Nascar, 3 wretling games, and Resident Evil 2 for the low low price of $50. I tried to buy the RE2 for $1, but no luck.

went out this morning to a sale advertising wii, playstation, and 360 games. guy had a damn good selection, selling wii games (good ones too) for $25-$35. he also had a few ps3 games, quite a few ps2 games, and halo 3. my purchases were
God of War 2 (Complete) - $12
Kingdom Hearts 2 (Complete) - $12
and my good buy of the day was Final Fantasy XII:CE with that big goddamn LE Brady Games Strategy Guide - $15
these prices were high for a garage sale, but good for ANYWHERE else, so there was no way i wasn't taking advantage. also stopped at a few more and got a spongebob uno tin (with cards, obviously) for a quarter and 7 recent back issues of Rolling Stone magazine for a quarter a piece.
*Off Note* Went to the nearby mall afterwards and hit FYE. Some unlucky bastard traded in a SHITLOAD of old WWF DVD's that are worth a fortune. I bagged WWF Summerslam 1999 and 2000, nWo Back in Black and WWF Best of Raw Vol 1 & 2 at $12, $9, $11, & $9, respectively. Not bad considering if I wanted to I could double my profit off of each of those. Also went to Gamestop. They had SIX (!!!) copies of MvC 2 for the Xbox. I know that's the worst version of it, but that was still damn amazing to me.
Not the cheapest day, but from a collector's stand point it's a pretty good one.

I actually had a good day in the way of goods today. It seems that my specialty recently is good genesis games recently.
I went to this sale not anticipating much since this is an annual sale. However, I was a little surprised. I picked up:
SNL Best of Chris Farley
Madden 2001 (GBC)
I paid $2 for both of them. No other story.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2638604635/
This was a sale I almost didn't go to but I am glad I did. I pull up to this sale and Looked around and didn't see any game items. I then asked if any games were available for sale. I talked for a couple minutes and he said he had a couple older hendhelds that he didn't know if they worked or not. I asked If I could look at them and he said that was fine. He then brought out 2 games by Entex.
Crazy Climber
Turtles
The price tag that he had on them was $0.50 each. So I tossed him $1 and went on my way.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2639431812/
This was not a bad find. I just saw some gameboy games on a table and picked them all up. I got:
Dora the Explorer: Super Spies (GBA)
Monster Inc. (GBA)
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (GBC)
These were marked $1 each so I CIF'ed $2 for all of it. She took it and I had some more games.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mirpkered/2639429516/
I went to this yard sale but it was a little out of the way. However it was a good thing I went. I picked up a few good genesis games. I found there:
Warriors of Rome 2
Primal Rage
Shaq Fu
Shinobi 3
Street Fighter 2 Special Championship Edition
NCAA Football
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Pat Riley Basketball
These were marked a quarter each so I CIF'ed $1 for the entire lot and she took it. Turns out that Warriors of Rome 2 is a pretty pricy game. Not a bad deal.

Went to a flea market picked up mostly comics, but did buy Fisher Price Firehouse rescue on Nintendo for $1. Left the Dr. Jekyll/Mr Hyde game. CIF $1 for both and they guy wouldn't budge "Because everything I sell is $1". I said "You can sell me one and give me the other!" -but he wouldn't deal. I also saw an Odyssey and an Odyssey 2 both in their boxes for $60 and $40. Guy wouldn't go lower than $50 / $30 'because "These sell for a lot of money on the Internet". Tried to CIF $30 for what I think was the first Odyssey, but he said no. NOTE: I have not been able to find a picture of the box I saw online. The box I saw was mostly white like a box a model would come in, but larger. It was a little smaller than the O2 box.

I also saw 2 guys at the fleamarket selling games and they said "Hey man, our mom said she saw you at garage sales, that's where she gets our games!! and kinda acted tough." I told them I didnt care...what idiots. the last thing i want is some lady going around buying up games just so her grown sons can sell them at the fleamarket.

Driver 2 PS1-$1. Found this with a bunch of other games that were way over priced. It was originally 2 bucks, but I offered one and the guy accepted.
Lord of the Rings Game Manuel- .25 cents
6 Random Genesis Games and 2 N64 games- 3.00
Zorro GBC Game- .10 cents

All for $15. I already made a profit by selling Chrono Trigger for $20 to a friend
Phenomenal haul, but your friend ripped you off something fierce. Complete Chrono Trigger is worth a hell of a lot more than $20.
Oh and if you don't mind selling Chrono Trigger for only $20, how about selling me Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore for that cheap, LOL!

Whatever, I don't really care. I made a profit already, and i'm selling basically all the games I got (I don't really care for RPG games)
I'm gonna sell Secret of Mana/Evermore soon ,but not for $20 (PM if interested, I don't know the prices for these either :-p)
I'm hoping i'll get more 2morrow when i'm going to go yard sailing 4 the 1st time

i purchased Chrono Trigger (among several other SNES RPGs) from a coworker several years back. he was a "neat freak" of sorts and the box, map, cart, all original inserts and docs were all perfectly mint. i sold that copy on Ebay roughly 6 years ago and made $200+ (back then, i sold off most of my really cool and rare stuff because i thought i was going to need the money -- i didn't!). i actually really like the game and i regretted selling it almost right away. now, unfortunately, all i've got is a cart-only copy kicking around, but the mint and complete copy was quite the showpiece.
if you're really not going to play it, i don't see the harm in selling it. you'll likely only miss it if it was really important to you.

Well, I'm gonna head out tomorrow, but if it's like the last 2 weeks I'll find nothing thanks to the game store's new owner.

I got these all at one sale. I unfortunately got to the sale later than I wanted since my dad's mapping software is a little old and didn't place the sale in the right spot. It was a pretty good find for me. I've gotten both that Zelda collection and the guide that goes with it from garage sales. I could have haggled, but I was happy finding that Zelda game. I didn't find anything else really. My area gets really quiets around now. It won't get busy till all the neighborhoods start having their sales again.

My dad just stopped by with some hauls he picked up for me:
2 N64's with 2 controllers each
Games: Turok 1 & 2, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Zelda, 1080, Donkey Kong Country, GEX all in original boxes with manuals AND strategy guide
Gamecube with 2 controllers
Games: MLG Slubfest 04, Madden 02, NBA 02, Enter the Matrix, Turok, Hunter the Reckoning (still in shrinkwrap)
I love whenever he grabs stuff for me because it doesn't cost a dime out of my pocket! He always gets to sales earlier than I would so it helps a lot!

Found no gaming related swag today...just stuff for my 4 month old(toys and books). I just really hate Phoenix weather, it gets hot like 8am and almost unbearable to yard sale. And I have to start at 6am so like 2-3 hours of enjoyable time looking for deals.

I went to a few yard sales, but couldn't find anything. There were a shit-load of newer PC Games (There were 20 Blizzard Titles in a Trash Bag, didn't ask for the price), but otherwise the only gaming things I found were those plug n play Atari controllers from a few years back and a Game Boy Case, which I didn't buy.
I'm gonna try and go to some Thrift Stores and Pawn Shops this week and see if i'll do any better there. I live in a small state (1 Million people), and there are a lot of mountain people who probably don't play games, so I probably won't find too many in my state..

not true.. the majority of the population (i would argue 90% of people 30 and younger play games..) they had to have parents.. and those parents probably put on yard sales..

After a few slow weeks, it was nice to finally get something at a yard sale. I found:
-Uncharted (PS3) $20
-Mario All-Stars (SNES) $5
-Shadowrun (SNES) $2
Unfortunately, the guy at the sell wouldn't haggle at all. I would have bought the Orange Box for the PS3 from him if he would have.
Also, I picked up an entire collection of James Bond books in a nice box set for $2. I believe there are 14 books in the collection.

Prices and details are on GameHoarders (http://www.gamehoarders.com/).
I got my first Saturn! I guess it's one of those geographical things, but I rarely see Saturns -- ever -- here in Maryland. I saw one at a Goodwill in Virginia earlier this year and thought that was quaint. Anyway, it was $3 and works nicely.
The DS fat was $5. (!?) I can't believe that the owners wanted MORE for a 1st-gen GBA that they had... they wanted $10. Guess they really had no idea what they were doing with prices.
Also, I was happy to find FFXI for $2, as it's strictly for the collection and I'm sure I will never play it :-#

I got Super Punch out for the SNES, the game had pop spilled in it so it might be dead but I haven't tried it yet, at least I only paid 50 cents their asking price was 2$ I mentioned the dirt (it was on the outside too) and the age of the game and got it much cheaper. I have the tools to open and clean games. I saw some N64 games at this sale but the prices were really high like 5$ for a boxed game (box was crushed) and they only had sports and wrestling games.
Last week I got some N64 games for 1$ each and they were all in near perfect condition (cart only though), the games are Tony Hawk 1, Donkey Kong Country (yellow cart), Scooby Doo and Batman Beyond.
Since older games (older than PS2/Xbox/Gamecube) are not sold in ANY store in my area now I am picking up whatever I can provided the price is right even if the game is so-so.

Sega Genesis Model 2 w/ Sega CD, AC adapters (no video cable)
SNES Game Genie
Genesis Game Genie
Sewer Shark
Sonic CD
The Terminator
NES Game Case
NES AC Adapter
Nintendo RF Switch
Nintendo Composite Cable (x2)
ClayFighter (not pictured)
Total: $55
This guy had a van FULL of stuff. at least 6 NESes, a tub full of controllers and other accessories for the NES and Genesis, two SNESes, a couple Atari 2600's... Yeah. I feel like I overpaid a bit, but the Sega CD was in beautiful condition, and the spare connectors are always useful for throwing together system bundles. Sadly he didn't have a video cable for the Genesis, but I was able to test the Sega CD with my model 1, and Sonic CD played great. Is it easy to burn backups for this? I sure would love some authentic Desert Bus.

Tomb Raider III w/ Guide
Tomb Raider The Last Revelation w/ Guide
Tomb Raider Chronicles w/ Guide
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver w/ Guide
Shadow Man
Resident Evil 2
Demo CD
Total: $5
The first find of my yard sale day, asked for games and the guy brought out a PS1 with these games. They were each marked $1, so I offered $5, which he accepted. And he old me I could have all the guides, too. Not too shabby, the Tomb Raiders could probably help me recoup some expenses from the day.

PlayStation SCPH-1001
Naki Genesis Controller
Rhino Genesis Controller
Total: $5
Hey, one of those silly 'audiophile' PlayStations! And some Genesis controllers, just what I needed to go with that Genesis/Sega CD. Everything cleaned up nice and works great, so I'm happy.

Mortal Kombat II
Road Rash II
Sonic The Hedgehog (case and manual only)
Altered Beast
Disney's Aladdin
Chakan
Model 1 video cable
Total: $10
They were asking a bit much, but I did need the video cord for my model 1 Genesis. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work. Oh well. The empty Sonic case was a freebie, but I did have two Sonic carts without cases, so I could put it to use.

I spent $40 yesterday, $30 on 20 Ps2 games, nothing special, and $10 on 2 360 games. Nothing worth getting my camera out for, but well worth the $40.

Sorry about the first picture being worse then usual, I didn't notice this until I looked at the picture on my computer. All of this stuff came from one yardsale the first four items I grabbed on my way out as it was in a free box at the end of the drive way. This sale advertised "video games" and they started advertising this Friday & Saturday sale in the paper on Friday, instead of Thurday like most sales starting on a Friday do. I went around my town and found nothing at about 7 sales then got to this sale that was the next town over at about 8:30-8:45. I remember buying some newer & older video games at this same house I think back in 2005 including a bag with about a dozen NES games that was marked $3. Everything had prices and had a name on it one of which was a kid that was helping out with running the sale and another which was probably his brother. The total came up to $24 and I offered $20 which was taken. The most expensive IAP was Parasite Eve II with guide ($5) followed by Metal Gear Solid with Guide ($3), Parasite Eve II seemed rather expensive for a Playstation game at a yardsale nowadays but considering what it was and some of the other good stuff for cheap I also got it worked out well. The Super Game Boy was marked .50 others were a buck or two and the guides .50 for the older ones & $1 for newer. I had to do a double take when I walked up saw the box with guides first noticing the Lunar guide. Even though some of these guide are rather rough (the Secret of Mana guide is missing the back cover and probably a few of the last pages for example) I was still happy to find them at prices like these.

Clear GameBoy (Missing Battery Cover) - $1.50
This was actually a Thursday sale that advertised video games, DVDs & VHS tapes. I was hoping it might even be a ton of stuff from an old rental store which it wasen't. I got to it when it started and they were still setting up the tables with nothing out yet about 5 minutes before starting time. The games were PS2, Xbox & GameCube. Not much and it was pretty bad IIRC every PS2 game was a sports game and Bloodrayne for the Xbox was probably the best out of all of the games, everything was marked $5 IIRC. I asked about old video games and the lady had the one middle school aged kid go in and ask about a SNES only to have him come back out to say that his brother sold it. The GameBoy was marked $5 I offered a dollar which was countered with $2 and they agree when I said countered back with $1.50.
Shadow of The Colossus (GH) (Complete) - $3
Neverwinter Nights (PC) (Complete?) - $1
Found these still around yesterday (Saturday) at a Friday & Saturday sale shortly after it started. I'm pretty sure that Neverwinter Nights is complete has it had a manual, map & 3 CDs and Shadow of The Colossus was in mint condition which is a nice change of pace for a disc game at a yardsale.

This stuff all came from a sale that advertised video games that started at 7:30 but I didn't make it to this sale until about 9 as I went around to a few sales around my town before heading out to this one. The Mario Toys & Handheld stuff was all sitting out they also had a few PS2 games & a GameCube with a few games that I passed on. I asked about older video games and they said that they had NES & SNES stuff and brought out all of the NES games along with about 25-30 SNES games and the N64 GameShark which was mixed in with the NES games. After I looked it over they asked me if I was interested in any of the games to which I said I would be interested in all of them and they ended up taking a few of the SNES games back that they decided that they still wanted after bringing them all out lol They took out Aladin, DKC 1 & 2 a double of Super Mario World and maybe a Mortal Kombat or two out so they ended up taking pretty much most of the games worth playing but nothing rare just a few rememberable games that were common for SNES games. The lady counted the games and said how about $35. I grabbed the 5 SNES games and offered $20 for those and all of the NES stuff which they agreed on. Everything actually came up to $26.50 but they said that $25 even would work and even considered it as if they were just giving me the NES as the lady said she didn't know if it worked and didn't feel right selling it as at first as they just brought out the games and when I asked about systems the lady was nice enough to go back in and round up the NES.
This sale was kind of funny as they asked the younger kid (probably about 12) about selling the games a few times as if they wouldn't sell it if he was interested in playing them still but he didn't mind seeing them go and didn't seem to care much for something as old as NES games anymore, it sounded like he had an N64 which he must still play sometimes as they didn't bring it out or offer to. Another guy that seemed like an older brother that was probably about 20 which came out when they brought out the Nintendo stuff said ?your selling the old Nintendo? as if he almost couldn't believe they were getting rid of it and mentioned something about Zelda as if he remembered how good it was and even said something at one point about how hard it is to find these games as if he was lightly trying to discourage them from selling the games. He was actually the one that pulled Aladdin aside as he said he liked it and remembered beating it and wanted to play it again.
