This says it can Rip DVDs and CDs directly for hassle-free use. Sounds better than messing around with different programs to rip DVD & a different to encode it for PSP? Does other stuff too and comes with USB cable. What do you guys think? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7799331&type=product&id=1142292390344

My friend used the Sony Media Manager, and he hated it. I showed him how to use DVD Decrypter with PSP Video 9 to rip them instead, he's much happier. This guide will help, although it's a bit outdated in some details.

I'm sure there are other ways of doing the same thing, this is just one example.

Really important though, you need a program to rip the DVD, and I'm pretty sure Media Manager won't do that for you. Almost all DVD's are copy protected, so you need a program like DVD Decrypter to bypass this.

I think I used Auto Gordion Knot (AutoGK) to rip my DVDs to PSP/MP4/Divx format recently. It worked fairly well but I lost interest due to the amount of time ripping takes up.
