Sounding off, most of my gaming group has shipped off to the military so I don't play anything right now, but I have played most all of it :)

I used to spend many many hours/days/weeks/etc playing D&D. Kinda sad when you go back and look at it. But seeing as I haven't touched anything but a six-sided dice in probably seven years.. I have no idea what characters I had.

D&D was over many years ago for me. Why bother with all the headache and bullshit when you can play great graphical hack and slashers on the PC and consoles. Screw pencil and paper, that's so 20th century!

There was a group of them who hung out down in the rec room in the basement of the dorms, sometimes they would be in there playing through the night during the weekends... ](*,)

I used to play, from when I was about 8 (1988) till v3.5 came out. I didn't realy like 3.0, but when 3.5 came out I was done. I stil role play, just not the current D&D system.

I've had lots of characters but my favorite was a 14th level halfling thief named Tyco. Tyco was insane. He had a trunk with an unlimited supply of costumes, and because he was insane, lots & lots of hilarity ensued...

I've wanted to play ever since I found out how it really works (a couple of years ago), but I've never had the chance. Can you play it online on some website just on your browser? Books-a-Million was probably the only place I could find people who play it, but it closed down.

God, I remember some manager I used to work with who used to play D&D all the time. He wouldn't shut the fuck up about it, and I remember considering killing him with a stapler at one point.

My friends and I try to play... But no one wants to be the DM. I've tried, but I'm not very good at it, so we're basically a leaderless group. Nice sturdy books, though... :)

I have been playing once a week this summer, and Im having my a great time. Most of our campaigns only last a session or two. In our last campaign we were doing a Star Wars one based on the KotOR rules. My Jedi character had the following stats that I rolled up:
Str: 13
Dex: 12
Con: 12
Int: 12
Wis: 13
Cha: 10
He turned out to be a horrible Jedi. I killed him off at the end of the sesson and started a new character. The stats I rolled up for him are much better(I have not assigned what stats Im going to put these scores in yet).
14, 15, 18, 12, 16, 15.

I played DnD one summer in High School, we were all neighbors so we played everyday during that summer of '94.. I remeber playing a Dwarf Fighter/Theif .. I dont remember what I named him or his stats but I was the only one who multi-classed. Nowadays I just play neverwinter nights to get my DnD fix, Icewind Dale 2 or Baldurs Gate 2 also gets replayed a couple of times..

Dungeons & Dragons was a fun game to play when I was young.

That was many years ago. Unfortunately, it kinda has a stigma - The stereotypical geek only plays these games.

Its too bad because it really is a fun social game..

Nah, we play Vampire. One of my friends is a really good storyteller so it's quite fun.
