Dumb question, but do 360 wireless controllers come with the rechargeable battery?

I'm not sure since my 360 was a refurbished red ringer from a family member, and the controller he gave me had the battery but not the charging cable. As much as I hate to spend even $42 on a controller, I probably should pick another one up as a spare and for co-op. If it doesn't, I'll probably just cough up the money for a wired one instead of $42 for a wireless and then $12ish for a battery.
