Now THIS is some good news. The PSP Screen is a no-brainer for this type of functionality.

Except that it isn't touch-sensitive.

It's cool but you're better off with an actual GPS built for the task.
If you like to go hiking you'd be better off taking a more rugged hiking unit.
If you'd use it while driving then the non-touchscreen PSP controls will get in the way and it's not a good idea be screwing with that while you should be concentrating on the road.
It's kind of like having a Garmin GPS that can play games. Yeah, ok, there's a computer there with a screen and an interface and it could (and does) play some games but really, I'd rather have a device built for playing games like the PSP.
Still cool, though - You'll get no argument from me on that one.

My buddy has had one of these for a while. It is pretty darn good considering they are only $50. A real road gps is at least $250.
It cuts out every now and then, and isn't quite as polished as a dedicated GPS. But still I will buy one, when there is official software for it. (My buddy uses homebrew stuff.)

This will work for me since I always travel with someone, one of us will do the driving the other will control the GPS.
dont forget about games like Metal Gear Solid PSP that use the GPS
More non-game stuff on the PSP...really?

Three more things have been revealed at CES:
1) The PSP camera is coming to the US
2) PSP Keyboard

3) Blu-ray connectivity with the PSP - download movie from BD-ROM to memory stick.

Mid 2009 for the keyboard! The R&D dept must have a budget of $12/month to develop the thing. It would be sweet if there were someway I could use the keyboard with the PS3 too, for the occasional message I type.

I will totaly get the GPS. I like most comuters don't really need GPS so this is awesome to have and use once in a while.

I've had trouble finding some more info on this. Is another psp-lite exclusive, like skype?

No it's not. GPS and Camera both work on the PSPhat.

Yeah the prototype is redonkulous. Just use a small keyboard with cord, or a dock style keyboard. It is unlikely that they can make the keyboard both small enough to be convenient to take everywhere, and large enough to be useable.
