Less than a year ago I bought a 19" Insignia in 720p from Best Buy for 250 bucks. Check out their weekly ads.

I am also looking. I'm hoping for $250-300 tops myself. I want one as a second TV in the bedroom, as my 4 month old baby's crib is in the living room. Stupid 1 bedroom condo... ;)

I am looking at these two at CC. It will be used for TV, DVD, and perhaps some (original) Xbox games. Thoughts?

Bump. I'm trying to advise my brother in moving into an HDTV, but would like some suggestions for good, smaller sets in this size range.

In this size it seems like their aren't that many great deals. I would try to find a 26" at the high end of the price range.

Basically come up with a list of tv's to look at and go look at them. The smaller 19-22" tv's it really comes down to possibly how many hdmi connections and other hookups. Yes there are differences in quality but the reviews of them pretty much tell the story. I highly recommend checking websites daily for price changes once you narrow down the choices. Also head over to avsforums.
slickdeals is actually a good place to check as well, just ignore the best buy thread where you buy all the extras to save money and then return the extras and keep the savings, definitly YMMV as well as an ethical choice

Pretty sure you can pick them up on ebay for a buck. If I remember correctly it is a AAA coupon so if a member you can get these free.

On another note I saw a 26" Vizio lcd at Walmart for $464. As far as these go I don't own one but IMO I think they are a great budget lcd tv. This one also has 2 hdmi inputs.

At this size and price this would be the one I would pick up if I wanted/needed one right now. As far as budget models in this size I am much more impressed with this tv vs. the Westinghouse which is about the same price.

How did you get it that low? I saw the thread on sd about this tv but wasn't that low a price. This tv price is in-store and is clearance but not on the website. Its about 545 and then its ymmv for the coupon to get it lower. Still good price without coupon. Hard to find 1 now as its been posted on sd/fw for a few days now, but there are some out there still.

I have no idea why it was that low. I stopped in CC and they had a area of the store (stereos?) that was filled with various clearance items and open box stuff. They had 2 of them in boxes marked with $399.99 and $499.99. I thought about this at the $600 price, but bit at the $399.99 price. I did not question the price.

Yes you can. Back during the summer I purchased a open box video cam from them. And you have up to 30 days to buy it.

I am a huge fan of my Gateway 24 inch LCD, 1920x1200. Main problem is that it does not feature an integrated tuner, or speakers, but if you can deal with those problems, the 24 inch is ~499 and I have seen the slightly smaller 22 inch on sale for 299.

http://www.gateway.com/accessories/product/1541351R.php?seg=hm for the specs, I like mine quite a lot though, makes a fantastic computer monitor as well as anything else i have tried on it.

I do experience some small screen tearing once in a while in some blu rays such as meet the robinsons, not sure if that is a monitor problem or a problem with the source material.
