Definately a must have. Great game even if you've never played the first. I picked this up a while back at CC for 10 bucks but this game is kind of getting rare to find new now.

Its not a "must-have" for everyone. You either are obsessed with this game or cannot stand its banal tone and incessant boredom. I'd say less than 50% of the Xbox installed market would consider this a fun game, much less a must-have. However, good deal on it.

You're crazy. Shenmue and Shenmue II are the best games ever made, IMO. They're boring for awhile but if you force yourself to keep playing them you'll get so caught up in the story/characters and you won't be able to put it down. :D

How can it be compared to True Crime? They are a completely different kind of game. True Crime is more of GTA clone, while Shenmue is nothing of the sort. It's more of adventure/RPG hybrid. :)

Media Play now has its $12.99 games 3 for $30
but if I can't get it there I will get it at Value City with
my 30% discount for under $10.

this game is great.

i got the first on DC and then this one for xbox,
when i was deciding if i wanted a ps2 or xbox i went xbox cuz of sega games, this being one of them and some others i wanted along with the obvious xbox reasons (specs)

to really get into this one you should have played the first on the DC.this is still a great game without the backstory of the first one.

carrying boxes sucked in the 2nd but the forklift ruled in the first
