I haven't seen it on MTV for a long time. Almost a year, I think. Bought the DVD, though. I think It's a great series, probably the best Spidey animated series yet. I just wish they'd introduce some of the staple villians like Green Goblin, Mysterio, etc.

I've seen parts of it. The show seems better than the old cartoons and the animation is pretty sweet. Are they still making new episodes?

I had no idea it came out on DVD. Is it the entire season? Any idea on how much it is?

I know that they did the entire complete sereis on DVD, like the entire first season, though it never said, and now I have been seeing at K-Mart and other stores individual volumes.

It's on MTV2's animation block, but I doubt they'll make new episodes anytime soon. Actually, I didn't even like the show all that much.

Is this Unlimited?

No Unlimited was on Fox when they tried to bring back Spiderman and have more success with the series. It really wasn't that good.

It is based on events that happeneded after the first movie. I really like the art and animation, but I only caught maybe 4 or 5 of them.

Good, because I've seen an episode of Unlimited and thought it looked like crap.

So, what's this new show called?

I believe that new one is called, now your gonna love the title they gave it, MTV's Spiderman.

Unlimited sucked. I got the impression they tried to take Spidey 2029 (right year?) and shaq-fued it to hell. The MTV one also is not one of my picks for good TV, simply because of the "cell shaded" animation style. The guys who make it (who also made Transformers: Beast Wars and Beast Machines, Reboot, and War Planets) can do SOOOO much better. Oh well, at least I enjoyed the story, what little there was. If they continue with it, it could have potential.

I thought the show went a little too slow at times.

Yaeh, I thought they were trying to take a lot of of Spderman 2099 (I beleive that's the year) and played around with it a ton. I don't like the artwork that they did for that as much as I liked the original 890's spiderman. I think the new cel-shaded look that MTV's Spiderman has is pretty cool though for some reason when I watch it my eyes sometimes hurt or I sort of feel light headed or dizzy. I think its the subliminal messages they're pumping us with.

It wasn't as good as the Fox show, but I still found it entertaining. I got into it midseason but before I knew it, it was canceled (I believe). It got some hate from my friends but they didn't really give it a chance. I wouldn't buy the DVD though, didn't see enough episodes to warrant that.

DVDempire has it for $19.96. With commentaries and DTS sound it's worthwhile purchase.

It definately wasn't as good as the Fox show, and I thought the animation was a little too hard on the eyes. I thought that Doogie made a good Peter Parker though...

The character style is very similar to the recent Ultimate Spider-Man comic series.

I didn't really care for MTV's Spider-man ... I love the mid-90's cartoon though I hope THAT gets a DVD treatment...

the fox's spiderman was the best one IMO except the morbius saga shit was a little boring, i jus caught probably the whole season? this morning on MTV 2 it was like from 3am to 7am of mtv spiderman, i think the best episode was probably the wonder twins? the animation is pretty nice i like how spiderman moves through the city, he shoots webs out of both hands and pulls himself up alot in the show, they could've used better villians like someone said, i think they should made the symbiote saga, it wouldve looked nice

The 90's Spiderman cartoon alread HAS the DVD treatment. They have 3 volumes already and just came out with a 4th: Spiderman vs. Doc Ock to coincide with the movie release. Other volumes were Return of the Green Goblin, Spidey vs. Daredevil, & The Ultimarte Villian Showdown. Great stuff. It's not a comprehensive chronological set, but still nice to have.

I'm going to buy the Spiderman 60's compilation soon. They had a few original episodes on the foremantioned DVD's and they're pretty cheezy. A LOT campier than I remember from my youth, but I'd still like to watch them anyway.

i liked the MTV show. The animation was alright, though i did like how they animated Spidey. The theme song was pretty tight as well. I'm not surprised that MTV didn't continue w/ it. They're notrious for not continuing their best shows (coughdariacough)
