This may be a long shot, but some of your cheap ass expertise may be able to assist me on my journey.

Well, I've recently decided to settle down with the new 120hz Samsung model # LNT4671. It's one of the best gaming LCD's and it has a great contrast ratio for the price.

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LNT4671F-1080p-120Hz-HDTV/dp/B000U9ZCS6/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=audio-video&qid=1199354606&sr=1-1

It was at around 1900 then went up to 2100 and now its at 2350. And that's simply to high, my budget is around 2000 or less.

I found it on frys.com for 1940, but then in one night it shot up to 3400. And this is pissing me off! So much so I am just considering going with the 40" model although I know I would be dissatisfied.

So I will be purchasing the 40" model tonight if I can't find a cheaper 46" model.

Help?

Thanks.

you shoulda bought last month. i got the lnt4069fx for $1589. it eventually went down to $1499. im sure the 46er was pretty cheap too. fyi, 71 series is glossy screen, 69 is matte in case you didn't know. you have to drop to 40" for the price you want right now. my tv's plenty big, they look bigger in your home compared to the sales floor...sick ass tv's, best looking lcd's you can get! sony can't hold a candle to this tv. oh, and fry's is always cheaper in-store. i saw a 32" samsung lcd for $599 B&M, online it was about $800. if you have one, take a look, they're cheaper than online sometimes (my tv was only $20 more in fry's than amazon.com)...good luck. :D

Hey guys I just purchased the 40" off of amazon. I am excited, but a little dissapointed that I didn't get the 46". I guess thats ok... its just going in my room.

And yea I know its glossy thats why I got it (trust me, my first TV I got I researched for about 10 minutes before I got it, THIS TV I seriously been looking at it for 1-2 months), all I got is one wall of windows in my room and my TV isnt facing it and they have big shutters that can seal off all light so I am GOOD TO GO!

I got a mount and cable covers (which I will paint the same color as my NEWLY painted room(took me 3 days to paint, im slow)).

It sucked though, I saw the 4671 on Frys.com for 1900, and then the next morning (seriously like 8 hours later) it was at 3400, I wish I picked it up when it was 1900.

Oh well. I got it for 1560. Pretty good deal. And I believe amazon refunds you if the TV drops in price in a month. That true?

not sure about price adjustment time frame. i bought mine from vanns.com, and there's is 15 days. i have the matte screen because of a ridiculous amount of windows, it works great, wish i could get away with the glossy though. if this is a bedroom, 40" is plenty big. mine's in my living room about 6' in front of couch and it looks huge. enjoy your tv, it's definitely the best lcd out there right now!

Just my 2 cents - I have this TV and absolutely LOVE it. Did alot of homework on TVs, too. This w/ the VGA cable on my 360 = damn pretty!
