I am going to start a video game blog site with a few friends and I was just looking to see if there was any interest in these type of sites? There are plenty out there already so if anyone has any suggestions of what they would like to see in this type of site let me know.

Well, the simple fact is, unless you have insiders that no one else has, getting exclusive information just isn't going to happen. So, I wouldn't even go that route.
The only way to get a loyal following is to be different. Your best shot is to review the games that you play, and just be honest about them. This won't give you the biggest following, but people who end up agreeing with you will frequent your site for your opinions. That, and I'd say have fun with the site. It's going to be a lot of work, and most of the time, you won't make a dime on it, so just enjoy it. I think if you love what you do, it really shows through, and that's a big boost.
