An example would be someone giving away a code for something, ie. a 1 month XBL code or HL: 2. However, most other transactions in this thread DO count . If you pay $3 shipping for a free book - that counts and iTrader feedback can be left.

Instead of cluttering your TL with misc stuff you can't seem to trade/sell such as demo discs, extra game cases, manuals, and old software.

Why not list it in this thread?

Think of this, the person interested in your stuff only has to pay the shipping costs to take those playstation demo discs off your hands that are just taking space up in your closet.

Sorry, I meant the controller port unit looks to be dead so that would just need to be swapped out. Games load on that one, but wouldn't recognise controller input. I didn't feel like messing with it, so not sure what the issue could be. Could possibly just need a cleaning or loose connection, but again being "as-is" and free pickup, no guarantees.

If you have someone local to pick up, that's always great so I don't have to pack stuff.

Okay, update on the details of stuff I want to give away. The DS case is the original case and it's light blue. It also comes with a little plastic holder for atleast three DS games.

The gameboy pocket I want to give away is green, but thing is I don't want to give it away by itself. I want to be able to give it away with some of the games it comes with. I'm not sure how much shipping costs would but the carts are light. There may be like 8 or 9 games or something.

[Edit]: Nevermind, I've decided to keep the Mario Kart but the GBPocket has got to go!

Well, I'll give this a shot here first.

I have an old Compaq Presario that I got from a family member. Processor is a 800mhz Celeron, w/ 64mb of Ram, and I think a 13gb HDD.

I cleaned up the dust bunnies and formatted the HDD and did a fresh install of WinMe on it. Would make a nice computer for somebody who isn't into PC gaming.

I'd offer it up to freecycle, but everything else I've ever offered there seems to only interest the meth heads.

SL4IN - Could I get Half Life 2, someone hacked into and stole my friends account. We play various Valve games competativly and are still doing ok in most but we are really missing him on Insurgency. He is definatly our best player in that game but is to cheap to buy another account. He rather waste his efforts on argueing with people through emails, trying to get his account back. I wouldn't blame him, he did after all have around 250 dollars worth of games on that account. Anyways, if I could get that, I would truly appreciate it.

Ah, my mistake. Sorry, on that....

I guess I was just noting that not everyone is charging actual shipping, some people are asking $1 or more per item on top of shipping cost. But again, I don't have a problem with that because I still got a good deal.

As far as people talking about packing supplies, I've bought so much from people (its like I buy more than I trade/sell??) that I happen to have like an endless supply of packing materials - nuts, bubble wrap, mailers, boxes, etc... so I just recycle to save on packaging costs.

That is most certainly the case for the first game and possibly the second. As I recall, this one is free of that anti-piracy programming.

EDIT: To keep things on topic, I've got a copy of Wild 9 for the PS1. It's ex-rental, but plays through without a hitch. Even if the game isn't your thing, you can pop it in your CD player for some great techno tracks (just skip track 1 as it holds the game data). $4 through PayPal for shipping, fees, and mailer.

I've given away free stuff to people in the past (before this thread was created) to people that ask, sometimes just something like a download which I never expected feedback for. And the person I gave the DL to leaves me fb unexpectedly so I was unsure what I'm supposed to do. Kind of awkward to return fb to someone that I gave the freebie to. Esp if its a newbie as in essense, they would basically be building up fb by getting stuff for free...

In one case, I returned the fb not knowing what else to do... but we ended up doing an actual trade thru the mail later so at least the rating ended up being legit.

I have a Sega Saturn, which does not include any cables or controllers whatsoever, that I don't need anymore.
I have no idea if the system even works, since it's been awhile that the system has been turned on and I don't have any cables to test if it does, so I guess you could use it for parts, or even buy the cables elsewhere to make it complete. It comes with Virtua Cop disc (I think it's a demo)
