I used to be a huge fan, but ever since the whole Napster thing, I've hated them.

Washed up. Motorhead on the other hand can still rock.

they are still the best

St. Anger wasn't that great but hoepfully the next album (they should be doing one sometime) will be better.

Greatest metal band ever. Period.

Back to the question, I think they have 1 or 2 more good albums left, but I hope they sound (being old school) more like Ride the Lightning or ...And Justice for All. Ok, yes, the black album is good too. :)

Anything after Kill Em All sucks...They lost their awesome bass player and ever since then they have sucked...Black album was HORRIBLE IMO

I was never a huge fan, I liked Justice, Black and Load... I'm pretty sure Load is a bad album, but for some reason I like it.

Anything after the black album is down hill. St. Anger blows HUGE donkey D. I bought it, heard how bad it was, took my video camera, video'd setting it on fire, then taking a piss next to it and not putting it out. Sent it to their fan club addy and havent heard from em..

Didn't much care for them after they tried to become Spinal tap with the 'whats more black than this' album.

Well, I'm am a fan of their old shit. They need to get back to the riffs and stuff. St. Anger was interesting experiment but it wasn't good enough.

Sheik mentioned Motorhead. Motorhead is what Rock-N-Roll spirit is all about (I'm listening to them as I type this). They've been going on longer than Metallica, longer than most bands yet they crank out the music.

PS. I haven't lost complete faith in Metallica. They may still have a come-back in them.

I thought they were washed up fifteen years ago before they got a lot of attention from the goth kids for 'Enter Sandman.' But then, I never liked them to begin with. They entered the field with their pretentious pseudo-intellectual nonsense around the same time I became too old for that stuff anymore.

The Napster thing is over with, they've started to accept people downloading their music and are even offering their music free on their own site. I they can still rock, I liked St. Anger, I think they can still rock.

All great up to the black album. Didn't really like anything else after that. It would be great though if they could make a comeback.

What other words have you been stealing directly out of my mouth? Should I buy insurance?
