I just went to ToysRUs online and couldn't find the deal. The Blu-Rays are also about 10 dollars higher online. http://www.toysrus.com Maybe I'm overlooking the sale though?

I didn't get a sales ad for it, can you post an ad scan?
chutch: This sale is B&M only, not online. It's nowhere near as good as last weeks BOGO, but this is a nice way to stack the Disney coupons for another go around.

All I really need after last weeks sale is Casino Royale... which doesn't seem to be part of this sale. Good thing. I would have to double dip on Robinsons or Cars (have them on DVD), hope the sales person accepts the pirates coupon for a non-pirates title, and then try my hand at two $5 off coupons. IF you can get all of that to work, titles would be about $8.75 each. Good price but I don't think I would have been able to get all that to line up anyway, was surprised at last weeks easiness with the coupons.

Yea that wont work only works on POTC movie.Well, I know someone else used it on one of the other pirates movies (not 3), and I'm betting it would just take $10 off any BD... if the cashier doesn't look to hard at it and just scans it.

It is an in-store promotion, TRU doesn't have an ad this week. There should be a cardboard top on a blu-ray endcape promoting this in the RZone (video games) section.
What are these coupons you speak of. Say I want to pick up Ratatouille and POTC:AWE, what would that work to? What about if I got POTC:DMC and POTC:AWE?

Pirate 3 $10 off (http://i14.tinypic.com/85z8292.png)
$5 off any Disney BD (http://dvd.disneyemailcenter.com/functions/message_view.html?mid=1521370&mlid=72002&siteid=13493&uid=962c3e3bf6)
The Pirates coupon technically came with Pirates 3 on DVD, so it's a YMMV thing, but it's been used before with great success.
The Rat+POTC3 would be about $8.75 each (total $17.50), if they let you use the $5 off coupon twice (once on each movie) and the $10 coupon.

I went to Toys 'r' Us today and a) there was no such endcap and b) the DVDs rang up as $24.99 each (PIRATES 2 & 3) and c) the clerks knew nothing about what I was talking about. Is there any other way to prove my case?

Anybody else having troubles? I'm not going out to TRU until the weekend, and I'd like to know if this is just a regional thing or not, I know JediBaja gets the facts right with TRU sales but I'd like to know anyway.

I tried it today and there was no promotion in their system.
They also had not restocked anything.

Well, I got things resolved in a roundabout way. I have two Toys 'r' Us stores in town; after what happened with the first one yesterday, I called the second one and asked if they knew about the promotion. They confirmed they did but, as a result of its popularity, they were sold out of almost every title, including all of the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movies. I went back to the first store, which still knew nothing about the sale, had them contact the second store for confirmation that the sale does exist and its not a regional-only or franchise-restricted type of sale. The first store accepted that without further argument and I successfully made my transaction (using the two aforementioned coupons; thanks!) without any more complications.

I called mine today and they said the only blu-ray promotion they knew of was the BOGO FREE from a few weeks ago, and of coruse that was over.

So did this actually happen?

It did, but it seems to be spotty which stores knew about it; apparently, the one I had so much trouble with earlier in the week got itself straightened out because I went back yesterday to get PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL and BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA and their healthy-just-a-few-days-before Blu-ray selection had been whittled down to only three CASINO ROYALEs and one OPEN SEASON. Just picked up PotC: TCotBP at Best Buy instead with the $5 off coupon and I'll wait for BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA some other time...

Eeek! I went to work on Sunday, as always, and discovered that TRU (at least for my store) has requested that our blu-ray movies be returned to vendor(s) (aka RTVed). I wasn't able to read the official message from corporate, but my shipping and receiving co-worker said it had to do about decreasing our inventory to make room for new items. Which is completely stupid because TRU just started carrying BR movies!!! Hopefully, this is not the result of us CAGers and other resourceful consumers taking advantage of the B1G1 sale. This really saddens me :*(

Really wish I hadn't been such a cheap ass about not getting the coupons to work and just done the B1G1 sale a few weeks back even at "full" (half) price.. sigh.

This really saddens me :*(Most likely TRU cut a deal with Disney to get the movies cheap, and then share the profit on sales, and then opt to buy or return what was left over. Since there is no sale and TRU would be a terrible place for BD movies (IMO since it's a toy store and most people will hit CC/BB for movies), they decided to just send the movies back. Could be a test the waters scenario as well, especially with the back to back BOGO and BOGO1/2off sales.

Although I doubt TRU will sell BDs now after that, it was nice when they did, we owe TRU for the cheapness.
